April 3rd Pre Order Question

No, the pre-order line was not let in early, it was just a separate line. I honestly don't remember and don't really know how the preorders were handled for the iPhone 3GS.......I just recall the separate line for those. NO idea of how Apple handled the financial arrangements, whether or not the credit card had already been charged or if it was charged at the point of sale in the store when the person was standing there in front of an Apple employee stating that he or she had a pre-ordered 3GS.....


Ah, thanks, JKK, for clarifying how this process actually worked at the time of the iPhone 3GS and would presumably work at the iPad launch......
