Naw... I can't switch until some one give me a good reason to sign up with a company that is almost as bad as Sprint except gives me slower data rates at 3x the price. Not to mention that the iPhone is still no where near as practical and functional as the Treo or other smartphones that cost must as much.

After checking out that Mogul WM6 PPC-6800I might just stick with Sprint after all... I hate the fact that it runs windows mobile but it looks a hell of a lot better than that outdated PalmOS.

I have one, and I'm totally happy with it. it reads SDHC so I've got a 4GB card in there, opera mini working swimmingly, and telenav works too.

The first day I had it it was really slow but I guess they do some OTA update right after you activate the phone and that's what caused the problem. it zips along now. Great phone, considering I got it for $109. Even with an 8GB sdhc I'll be coming out way ahead of the iPhone price and the service is only costing me $50/mo.

Please.... Tell me more of this.... MOGUL... if it really takes SDHC cards then I will be picking one up in December instead of the Treo.

According to this, you should be able to cancel T-Mobile without a fee because they recently raised their text messaging prices:

http://consumerist.com/consumer/cellphones/cancel-time-t+mobile-rate-change-starts-today-265146.php

According to the article and my talk with t-mobile moments ago, the notices went out in the April and May statements. I will have to check mine, but the language of the terms and conditions says you have 14 days to cancel and must follow some instructions, unless the notice dictates a longer time period. Not sure what the notice says, but the period to take advantage of this may have already passed.

Im wondering this as well what if you told them you never received any statements. What could they possibly say then.

The press release on their site says June 1.

I just called them they said I had to notify them of canceling the service on May 16th and there is nothing they can do now. I told them I dont look at my bills I just pay for bill online and they said theres nothing they can do about that bummer...........

My T-Mobile contract expired last May. (May 2006.)

So, no, I'm not going to break my contract, since I'm on month-to-month.

same as this guy. but i am changing providers so that is worse for t-mobile since they don't get my $175 to cover it.

Also the rep. yesterday told me I had to pay 200 not 175.. did they change on the price on that too?

It really does take SDHC. I have 4GB in the phone right now, by the time you get one 8gb should be easy to get. Wifi works great. Opera mini beta 4 runs fine. I've got IM, threaded SMS running now with minimal hacking. Email works a lot better than WM5, it's much easier to configure. keyboard is really, really pleasant to use. And it's a very small phone, much smaller than the images would let you believe. It is smaller than the 8525. Telenav works great with my $60 bluetooth GPS reciever.

Music implementation is good with WM10. the screen is nice and bright, and they made a LOT of improvements on things about WM5 that really irritated me. Now you hit the send button and a really nice touchscreen keypad comes up, and it automatically recognizes the numbers you're typing in and gives you an easily accessible call log. Picture mail works fine.

I'm really happy with it. It also charges off any computer with a USB port through standard mini usb (really convenient). Signal is good.

Not enough it is missing that the iPhone has to convince me to give up my great deal on service and on the phone.

These things sound good. I may just pick one up as well. It says on Sprints website that it is WM6... when did you get yours since you are using WM5? I think WM6 is compatible with Missing Sync so I will be able to sync all of the MacOS X stuff with it but do you have problems with syncing it to your computer mac/pc?

Sorry just curious before I blow $400 on a Pocket PC when I am very used to Palm. And by the way... I really like the iPhone and the way you navigate around it and how it syncs so flawlessly with MacOS X, but feature for feature this phone seems better and cheaper.

From all the negatives I've heard about AT&T's network, there's no way in hell I'm switching. I do, however, like the new unlimited data plans, although unlimited dial-up speeds don't exactly turn me on... and they could have done a lot better than 200 texts.

AT&T has 3G available in most major cities, and its a hell of a lot faster than dial up!

Too bad the iPhone doesn't support it....

I had a WM5 treo before I got this phone- it is in fact WM6.

Syncs fine to my computer with activesync (PC user) but if you've got an intel mac and parallels you're golden anyway.

I've had mine since launch on the 18th. Hacks are already coming out to enhance the functionality of WM6.

Let me just put it this way: WM6 is a HUGE improvement over WM5. It is much slicker, cleaner, and easier to navigate in fewer keystrokes. And if you really find yourself missing the iPhone, there's already iPhone themes right down to the "slide to unlock."
