The seller wants to get $1,000 and either someone will pay it because it’s worth it to them, or they won‘t.
This was an insane asking price for a 2nd hand M2 MBA long before the bump in base RAM! Isn't that around what they cost brand new?

Yes. I see majority of people trying to sell their M2/M3 Airs for 95% of what they paid for it. The best is when they use it for 2 years and it's plastered with stickers all over it.

Saw an ad the other day for a used M1 Air for $1000 LOL.

Actually I had moved from 16GB M1 to 8GB M3 and did not feel any difference in day to day operations. So I dont feel any need to upgrade just for increase in RAM. I might in 2026 opt for a lighter Macbook Pro with M5 or whatever will be the current CPU.
