They are very bad, very slow, many mistakes. I do not remember betas with so many mistakes.

Betas are supposed to have issues...that ultimately is the point of the beta tests. This isn't Super Secret Early Features Club™ like many on here think. If issues bug you, you shouldn't take part in this...
For me iOS11 beta has been better than the previous 2 or 3 Beta launches as far as glitches.

No, these aren't actually that bad. These are worse than iOS 10, but not iOS 7/8/9. They were pretty bad. Especially iOS 7.
They are not "mistakes" they are normal bugs when you are talking about millions of lines of code. Millions and millions of lines of code.
I mean iOS 7 wasn't that bad. It was actually the first X.0 beta that I ran beta 1 -> GM. But iOS 11 is definitely better than iOS 7.I thought curse words weren't allowed on MR.....

what bugs.? ios 11 is fine.. theres only a few for a yearly major ios in its second beta..

I believe the last beta I tried was iOS7 (from beginning to GM) so that’s my comparison point. But compared to that, this is a breeze. I’m spotting several bugs of course but it’s actually running quite well overall and it’s not killing my battery at all that I can tell - charged my iPad up to 100% overnight, been using it pretty consistently since 7 hours ago with a Bluetooth keyboard attached and the Apple Pencil sporadically, and often two splitview windows and Messages in Slideover and it’s at 67% currently.

iOS 11 beta 1 was the smoothest, most polished beta 1 I have ever used. No serious battery drain, no resprings, and I don't believe I had to hard reset once. My only gripe was Microsoft Outlook crashing every time I replied to an email.
iOS 11 beta 2 is a nightmare. Every app crashes. My battery goes from 100% to 20% in about 2 hours idling. This morning, all of my photos from 2011 forward disappeared from the Photos app, and my text messages disappeared. The Photos slowly came back over a matter of hours as it would say "Restoring" at the bottom of the photos that had been restored. It "restored" my photos over those few hours while draining my battery to 10%. I had to hard reset to get my text messages back and then it was like nothing had ever happened. But hey, I can reply to emails on the Outlook app now, so I have that going for me which is nice.
All that being said, I will repeat what others have said. These are betas. Expect these sorts of things. If they are too much for you, don't use them on your main device, as Apple advises. This is far from the worst experience I have had over the years with the iOS betas. I did not expect such a decline from beta 1 to beta 2, but such is betas.

I defiantly had some second thoughts after installing public beta 1 of iOS11 but don't ask me how but after 24 hours I seem to be getting closer to 10.3.2 battery life and performance now.
At first, music kept stoping, AirPods stopping, videos not playing, and apps and control centre buttons were freezing, at one point the whole phone froze on the home screen and I couldn't even lock it. Seems something got stuck running in the background, last night I force quitted every background app (apps that i hadn't opened since upgrading so might have been corrupt in RAM as far as iOS 11 is confirmed) and then force restarted the phone. Now all is fine and I just have a few small bugs, mostly app layouts getting messed up and orientation issues which normally resolve by switching app or locking and unlocking. Force press on the left side to switch app doesn't work and news widget seems to have disappeared, haven't really noticed anything else yet...
update: also seem to have trouble using the app store and searching apple music for new music. signing out has locked me out completely. hopefully fixed in the next beta.

I had a buggy beta experience in the same ways many have described here. But then did the thing people often recommend, something that nobody outside Apple can describe in accurate detail, why exactly it helps: clean install.
So, iCloud backup while in iOS11. Then log out, delete all settings and content. Fresh start. Restore from iCloud.
Everything is butter smooth. Task switcher works without hiccups. No delay opening folders or apps. Safari is very snappier. Control Center opens within apps. No crashes.
Is been only 6 hours, but the difference is pretty clear. So clear that I won’t accept calling it just placebo.
It worked in iPad Mini 4 first, so went with iPhone SE as well.

Lol you must have a short memory. Even the final releases of the pre iOS 4 OSs had some major issues. Plus it's a beta. It's not meant for a daily driver.
Save the criticism for the public releases.
iOS 11 Public Beta is one of the best betas I've tested...you should've been here when iOS 7 beta dropped...now THAT was a train wreck

iOS 7 and 8 didn't have public betas, so Apple seemed less concerned on getting the developer betas stable at an earlier point in the beta cycle. iOS 7 was pretty rough since it was an overhaul, iOS 8 not as bad.
iOS 9 was pretty atrocious for betas 1 and 2 from what I recall.
iOS 10 seemed extremely stable during beta 1 (for a 1st beta) - I think I made it my daily driver.
IOS 11 is the worst since iOS 7. App store, Apple Music, Podcasts - all broken due to that certificate issue (but doesn't seem to be affecting everyone). Battery life isn't great, and seems worse than prior Beta 1's. Maybe there is AFS items that are messing with a lot of core functionality.
Either way, eagerly awaiting Beta 3 in a week or two.

outside of some small moments, and occasional glitches, am having a stellar experience on my SE. in fact, the only app that did not work (CVS), was updated today... and works fine now. interesting how different everyone's experiences are (something we've seen with every beta, of ios, and mac os...).
Yeah for those complaining about the ios 11 betas, you obviously weren't around a few years ago lol. And like some ppl keep repeating here. These aren't meant for you to be in the cool club, cause you got something earlier than most ppl. They are supposed to have bugs, they are betas.
Also would like to say that DFU to a CLEAN install without restoring to a backup probably yields a way more stable experience.
It seems like a lot of the major upgrade caveats from iOS 10.X.X -> iOS 11 are back-burnered, and this is why people who OTA upgrade vs. DFU to clean install have potentially worse experiences earlier on in the beta cycle.

I ran the iOS 10 beta on my 6S Plus, and other than a few battery drain kinks (which ended up having more to do with the VPN I was using than the software) I can think of zero performance issues.
24 hours with the iOS 11 beta on my iPad Pro 9.7 hasn’t been terrible by any means, but it’s not nearly as smooth of an experience so far. Today I upgraded to the 10.5 iPad Pro and it’s noticeably snappier. But it’s not like last years iPad Pro is a slouch, so they definitely have some major kinks to work out over the next couple months.
This is clearly the biggest overhaul of the operating system in quite some time, so I’m not surprised it feels a little less refined at the moment. I’m sticking it out, and I would’ve stuck it out with the 9.7, too.
