My Mac Pro had a 2-4 weeks estimated ship date when I ordered it two weeks ago (due to the Airport Extreme card). I am hoping we see MPs with Airport Extreme cards shipping soon. Has anyone had their shipping notice for one of these yet?

Let me know if you are in the same boat and we can wait together.

Lets not complicate the matter - only post if you ordered with the standard graphics card (7300GT). The X1900XT had a longer shipping estimate.

I'm interested too (mine is an X1900 XT one) to see which is the one further delaying the shipping date...

I don't think any Airport-equipped ones have shipped though.

Cool. Hi ampd and Mr Mister. My estimated ship date is also 5th September, but I was really hoping it would be before then. I emailed the Applestore and they said it could ship anytime between 23rd August and the 5th of September. Which is the 2-4 weeks thing in dates.

I would be overjoyed if it shipped in 2 days (23rd). I want this to get here asap...

Just pulled the trigger on a Mac Pro.

Noticed that Airport now listed as 2-3 weeks (was 2-4 weeks last week).

Well done MacsAttack. I also noticed it was down to 2-3 weeks. I am seeing this as a really positive thing. Looks like the parts are on schedule.

Any news anyone? I am expecting that there will be some people getting these in the US ahead of them shipping in Europe. I know that the estimates are the same, but it usually works that way.

I have noticed that the estimated ship time on the US Applestore has changed to 3-5 business days when you add airport extreme. Normal CTO is at 2-4 business days. The UK store is still saying 2-4 weeks, but it is always a bit behind.

I am seeing this as a really positive sign that they have the parts ready to install. I think we should see some of these shipping in the next 3 days or so.:)

I just knew the 2-days delivery time they were listing was too good to be true. Problem is that shipping for UK customers is just horrible in my experience...

Now up to the 20th for delivery (that is 9 working days after it is supposed to ship and the store said it would be about 5-7 when I placed the order).

My previous experience has been that it will be more like 14-20 working days to ship (given the way I tracked my Mac Mini on the grand tour of Europe last year... Shanghi->Amsterdam->Luxombourg->Somewhere in mainland Europe->Paris->God-knows-where-mid-channel->London->Glasgow).

Of course I factored this into my timescales when I placed the order (I wanted to have it by the 25th - so if things run true to form I'll get it around the 25th-26th if I'm being quoted the 20th).

I never order anything from the Apple store unless I have no other option. I'd be willing to pay for faster shipping on items like computers - but they do not offer any alternatives to their delivery-by-pack-snail system.

My ship date started out as the 14th, then moved forward to the 31st. It's back at the 14th now, but I'm hoping for somewhere in between.

Hmm. When was this? Personally, I've always had GREAT experience with Apple's shipping - maybe it's different around the UK.

My stuff has always arrived long before the given date - in fact, the last order had arrived before I got the dispatch e-mail!

I have ordered three (3) seperate things from the Apple Store over the last 18 months. 1 Mac mini. 1 iPod Nano (inscribed), and an Iomega MacMate. All three took at least ten days to arive after notification of shipping. I live fifteen minutes from Glasgow airport (where TNT - the carrier - has a very large warehouse/distribution centre).

There is no reason for the kind of routing I have seen when tracking my orders. They should be able to cut a week out if only they ship from Amasterdam to Glasgow. But nooooo.... They always appear to take the same stupid round-about route every single time.

Did you ask them about this? I mean, I'm assuming this is some sort of problem for them, unless I've been really lucky and everyone else gets the same service...

Apple stick to their official shipping information. TNT just don't answer my enquiries.

When apple solicits feedback in the form of surveys (which they do every now and then) I make my displeasure with the idiotic way their chosen shipping partner operates and their lack of shipping options known.

I'll be tracking this order with interest to see just idiotic they are this time - but I'm not geting my hopes up that they will deliver in anything under two to three weeks after Apple ship the machine.

My Mac Pro that I ordered Aug. 9th is being built right now.:) It began to be built last night, so I'm expecting it to be shipping either today or Monday.

That's great news, now I know that my comp will ship as soon as the ATI cards become available and won't be held back by some measly wireless option.

BTW, can you give me a screenshot of what the Order Status page looks like when your comp is getting assembled? I yearn to see it... :(

Well, on the Order Status page, it still says "Not Yet Shipping". Go to order details, and the select "Canel Items". If you can cancel your comp, it isn't being built or getting ready to ship. If you can't cancel it, it is being built and being prepared for shipping.
