Wait, what happens if you try to cancel items? It just goes to your invoice, or does it say something? Because it's been that way for me for a while now and I have an X1900 XT in my Mac Pro. Though that could be because I ordered an iPod as well on the same order and that's already shipped.

BTW, Airport is now down to 3-5 days when you configure it.

For those in the UK, it's unfortunately still showing as 2 to 3 weeks. :( Which is, at least, down from 2 to 4 weeks.

But, a little part of me is hoping that it's simply a matter of not being updated due to the weekend and our holiday on Monday, so maybe it will come forward after then.

Really, really hoping I don't have to wait for the Sept 14 that the order status page is showing.

I don't get this. I just went to Apple.com to see that it's come down to 3-5 days with my own eyes but it still gives me 2-3 weeks when I add airport to the standard config.

I ordered the standard config with BT/AP/2x superdrives and a 23" ACD on 16 Aug but because it wasn't directly through the online Apple store I don't have any way of tracking the order or getting a status on it. :(

Chuck.

PS - Hey MacsAttack, seeing your post reminded me of my trip to the UK with my wife - when we drove into Glasgow at night there were fireworks going off in every direction as it was Guy Fawkes Day. It was an awesome experience and I loved Scotland, especially the highlands and the lochs. Ah, wish I could afford to go back now, but with two kids this time around it's not cheap flying across the other side of the world.

Seems quiet... I would have thought that since they changed the ETA on mac pros with airport down to 3-5 days there would be a heap of people reporting their deliveries here already!

???

Our Apple site now shows 7-10 business days for Mac Pros with airport cards installed.

I got excited for a second, and then I realised that 10 business days is actually two weeks. In fact if you start from a Monday, it's actually 16 days - more than two weeks. :(

Mine has shipped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We-hey! :D :D

Always nice to answer your own question eventually. Despatched today from Ireland. Apple say that it should arrive by Friday at the latest. TNT tracking has it arriving on Monday. I hope Apple are right this time.

I am sure there will be lots more of these Airport enabled Mac Pros heading out now.

Awww, GB now I'm jealous. No this is very good news - you're the first person I know of on any forum who's Mac Pro w/ airport is actually getting somewhere.

Good stuff! Maybe mine will follow soon.:)

Good news. Let us know when you get it, and post up the System Profiler text - so we can see the new cards.

I wonder how they decide whose Mac Pro comes from Ireland and which from China? My order shows a delivery date of two days after the shipping date, so presumably it's coming from Ireland?

Ah, Apple shipping. A true mystery.

Perhaps it was all that memory I stiffed into it in place of a FX4500 video card???

China ehh... So if I can track the order I'm going to get to see it bounce all across Europe for a few weeks. Again.

I'm in Las Vegas. My Mac Pro is coming today, even though I picked the normal ground shipping... It said it was shipping from Anaheim. Is this Apple's way of saying sorry to all the people who waited for AirPort Extreme? I don't care, my Mac is coming soon.:D :D

Where O where are you, Mac Pro?

I'm going nuts not knowing when this machine is going to arrive. I opted not to buy from the Apple store so that I'd get a cheaper deal, but I'm starting to think it was worth paying a bit more just to have an idea when it's going to arrive. It's the no ETA bit that is the hardest part.

Plus today two things have made it worse still.
1 - I got down to 1Gb left on my hard drive (and Photoshop gave me a warning that I'd better do something about it). I can archive some old work to DVD, but I have to do dupes and this machine takes HOURS to do it.
2 - One of my clients told me they need two A1 posters done urgently. Another thing that my poor old powerbook has to chug away at.

If I knew when it might arrive I might actually be able to prioritise some of my work better and leave the hard stuff for when it arrives - but if it's not here soon I'd be better off doing that stuff first.

Ah well, nothing I can do about it. Good to get all this off my chest though. Time for a coffee.
