It is a quality battery, but the price is almost the same as OWC (including shipping).
Ok good to hear. Was it expensive because of the duties and taxes?

I’m looking at the battery for my MBAir 11” mid-2013 and it’s around $26. The shipping is another $30 so the total is $56 in US dollars. Converting that to Canadian dollars, it costs me around $75 before taxes and duties from customs. Let’s say customs charge me another $50, the final total is $125 CAD.

Were yours about the same?

No I did not pay duties in Florida So it was only the shipping fees. I chose REWA because I had multiple bad experiences with brand new batteries from ebay. I still have 2 of those batteries and I got my money back from the sellers.

Lucky you. So if you don't mind me asking, how well is the battery holding up so far and how long have you had it?

I had it for more than half an year before I traded it in and it held more than 100% of the design capacity.

Gave “Puredick” on Amazon a try for my MBP 2017 battery replacement based on recommendations in threads here.

YouTube videos were more useful for the procedure than iFixit, at least for my model, as iFixit’s guide suggested disassembling everything, including the motherboard, which wasn’t necessary. Just need to get to the step of removing the trackpad (to avoid damage) and be very careful in getting under the battery with a flat tool to scrape away the adhesive (a disposable plastic knife worked pretty well for me), and not puncturing the battery casing. Took me close to 2 hours but probably could be done in less than one with experience and more research done up front.

So far so good, will see if the battery lasts but for now getting 4-5+ hours of battery life with chrome running multiple tabs and brightness up high.

Thought about Rewa but it would have been $15 more expensive with shipping and arrive much later (weeks?) and no idea how support would work.

One weird thing is the manufacture date shows 2015-03-30, which might be just due to whatever power board they’re using since others have reported the same.

Was needing a battery replacement in my 2015 MBP but putting it off due to covid and store access issues etc. Took my machine in yesterday and guess what. My MBP was "vintaged" July 31st. Meaning no guarantee on the work and they will only do topcase replacement version of repair IF they still can do the repair. Don't want to spend 500 bucks on a 8 year old mac so its off to take my chances with aftermarket batteries I go.

I was quoted $199 for a 2014 MBP which is vintage as well. Vintage just means that Apple will make the repair if they can get hold of the part. In general MBP topcases are still readily available. They do guarantee the repair IF they can do the repair.
