Are you going to create an iPad "unboxing video"?

Yeah, pretty random. But we all know that people do this things. They get a new iPod, macbook or iPhone and create an "unboxing" video and post it up on YouTube. Like that guy "Noah from PhoneDog"

Do you guys get pleasure out of seeing these "unboxing" videos?

Has anybody done one?

Are you planning to do one for the iPad?:p

I beg to differ, I like some. Particularly those that are quick and show the device quick.

+1 If it's under 5 minutes it's okay. But I have seen 11-15 minutes one's, that include parts into the unboxing.:(
 
I won't make one but I'll probably watch them. :) I do enjoy watching the unboxing of gadgets that I like and want.
 
Typically, I'm not extremely interested in unboxing videos...

There have been a few times that I've found an unboxing video that peaks my interest.

Most times, the person who does the unboxing captures my interest. I enjoy DudefromUkraine on Youtube. He does alot of unboxing videos. He knows his stuff and he's very thorough, and knowledgable. But sometimes he talks forever before getting to the point, but none the less, he's the king. :)

I do enjoy watching them too. They're fun sometimes especially if the person is clueless about the device. :rolleyes:

No, there will be far too many of those already. Rather, I may post a "How To unbox your iPad" video. Far more useful.
 
Youtube is already polluted with iphone/ipod touch review channels, usually run by 12 years old kids constantly promoting their giveaways. It makes me wonder who is sending them review products and where are they getting the crap they are constantly giving away. Do companies just send everyone with a 5 year old logitech webcam products to review? No, I will not be contributing to that awful trend. I preordered, so with any luck I should have unboxed mine before anyone puts a video up anyway.
 
I hope someone does, cause it took me more than a year to realize that the small plastic case my ipod came it opened up and contained a piece of plastic to use as a stand and some Apple stickers along with basic instructions. I opened it and connected it to my computer and that put the rest of it in a drawer. I never read instructions for things or look for other things, I open and use.

It would be funny if one of the uppers from Apple would do one...
 
I doubt I will make an unboxing video. I have watched several in the past mainly to compare items I bought off of ebay to confirm if they were in deed NIB as the seller describe.
 
If you're anxiously awaiting your own iPad, an unboxing might hold you over.

Just taking something out of a box though I think is kind of lame. I'd rather do a first look with some actual usage to provide some info.
 
I never understood the fascination with unboxing videos. I can see if it was part of a video review, but to just film unboxing it seems a little strange to me :p

I personally have never had interest, unless it's a rare gadget, or has some kind of unique packaging.

Its like porn for geeks. Unboxing a long awaited and cool gadget is the best feeling in the world (to a geek). I recently unboxed an iphone 3GS and it was spiritual. Unboxing apple stuff is extra satisfying because of the awsome packaging. The next best thing is to watch someone else do it :D
