my wife will take a video while im unboxing it. you'll never know the unit is defective..

I don't think so. First, I'd have to do it in the car (or the mall). No way am I driving 45 minutes without holding it in my hands. Second, you'd have to view it in slow-mo; the 1.5 seconds it'll take to rip it from the box would make a really short video. :D

We're gonna take the video thing one further, and stream the unboxing live on our website Saturday evening. We'll also demonstrate the iPad and discuss the new features, etc. The thing is - this will all be done in American Sign Language. :)

Yeah, pretty random. But we all know that people do this things. They get a new iPod, macbook or iPhone and create an "unboxing" video and post it up on YouTube. Like that guy "Noah from PhoneDog"

Do you guys get pleasure out of seeing these "unboxing" videos?

Has anybody done one?

Are you planning to do one for the iPad?:p

The only time I watch one of these if for a product that is super exclusive and rare to see in person, and maybe the video is on a review site.

Like the first eee pc, that was a proto-type... etc

Of Course I am going to do a unboxing video. I bought a Owle Bubo just for the iPad release. lol :D

I haven't seen an unboxing video yet that I didn't find totally boring, drawn out and insidious
