Considering it's an A5 chip that was already jailbroken a year ago, it shouldn't be an issue. I predict it'll be done day one.

A5 chip has nothing to do with the jailbreak, current jailbreaks are all userland, so no it won't be done on day one unless it comes with 5.1.1, which it won't ofcourse.

Hell yeah I'll be upgrading my jailbroken 4.3.3 iPod Touch 4G (I'm skipping the latest version as it doesn't have 128GB or 256GB of storage that I was hoping it would have) to iOS 6.0

Hopefully iOS 6 will be easy to jailbreak as I definitely believe that iOS shouldn't be a locked down system unlike Android which I absolutely adore for its customisation options.

Your device can already be jailbroken on iOS 6, albeit a tethered JB.
You can also update to 5.1.1 and untether JB if Cydia saved your blobs, why stay on 4.3.3?

I confess I haven't updated in quite a while and I don't know how to find out via Cydia if I've saved my blobs or how to save them.

Technically speaking, there could be a "failbreak", but those are of no value toward an untethered general release jailbreak solution.

But, a real jailbreak, not a chance unless the hackers conquer iOS6 before shipping day.

My iPhone 4 is jail-broke on 5.1.1 and my 4S is not (yet), but is on 5.1.1. As of yet, I see no reason to upgrade either to iOS 6 jailbreak or not.

F yes. The thing I miss most is OpenNotifier. Tired of having no clue if I have text messages or mail.

I will ALWAYS jailbreak, but now iOS has matured to the point that i don't mind losing the jailbreak in the meantime to gain the newer version of iOS. I used to wait and would refuse to update until a jailbreak was available. I doubt i do that anymore, honestly.

Since Apple integrated popular jail break features like notifications, folders and wallpapers, there's a bit less urgency to jailbreak. I've been jailbreaking since the 3GS and I still want things like sbs settings, backgrounder (for killing all background apps with one slow tap), gridlock (for putting icons were ever you want), themes and lockscreen widgets.

I still won't touch iOS 6 jailbreak or not. I do plan to pick up a 5S next year, so maybe iOS 6 will be J-broke by then.

I want to but I have been surviving without it pretty well. I've actually purchased more apps lol...

I got lucky. I originally had my 4S on 5.1.1 jailbroken, upgraded to iOS6. Had to get it replaced a month ago due to hardware issues. New 4S was back on 5.1.1 and I rejailbroke.

I can't wait for an iOS6 jailbreak. I really loved my 4S on iOS6, it seemed to run faster. But for now, I'm staying on 5.1.1 with my greenpois0n. :D
