I was very happy with my iPad Air and kept it all the way until this fall, when I bought the new iPad Pro 12.9". I am still very happy and intend to keep and use this ipad for the next 4-5 years.

Very happy with mine, having no issues so far, but have AppleCare in case something happens.

The 3rd gen iPP 12.9“ is a much greater upgrade from the 2nd gen iPP 12.9“ than I had anticipated.
Also, the new Pencil is so much more solid and slick than the previous one.

I wonder what they could bring to the table next to make me upgrade.
This iPP may last quite some time for me, just like the Air2 did (from which I upgraded to the 2nd gen iPP).

Here’s my experience with iPads:

1. Third gen iPad - Really amazing screen for the time. Apps and interface were so much better than the Android tablets I had been messing around with. It was more than a little laggy in the performance department and was a bit of a chunky beast. Also, despite spending all kinds of money, including buying the powered Evernote/Adonit stylus, I never did find anything that worked well.

2. 9.7” IPad Pro - Almost everything I ever wanted in a tablet. Great apps, beautiful screen, fast/responsive, excellent stylus support in the Apple Pencil. However, I found it just a little too small for reading and marking up some types of business documents and I didn’t want to move to one of the original 12.9” iPads because they were just mammoth.

3. 2018 12.9” iPad Pro. Checks all of the pro boxes mentioned above with none of the cons mentioned above. After more than 7 years searching (including my brief dalliance with android tablets), I really have found the ideal tablet for me.

Loved my 2nd gen but my wife needed it for school so I ended up upgrading to a 3rd gen 12.9". I'm blown away at how much of an upgrade it feels like. Using it for fun/work is a pleasure. Very happy.

I upgraded from the first iPad Pro 10.5" to the most recent one. I love it with the exception of no headphone jack. I prefer the cover and the pencil. Speakers are also better.

I put not sure. The device itself, I did absolutely love! But I just couldnt justify keeping it for that price point. The pressure of my looming return date deadline and the credit card bill was just too much. I thought about getting another one today at B&H which would have been $100 cheaper, but ultimately it was still too expensive for me. If I can pick up a used one in a few months for around $600, I would be happy with that. But until then, I will continue using my mini.

Mine is great. I've had it several days now, no issues whatsoever. Upgraded from an iPad Pro 9.7. No bending of the frame, screen is solid and consistent. Lightning fast.

Happy with my 11" IPP. I upgraded from the 10.5", so it wasn't a huge upgrade. However, I really like the new Apple Pencil over the first generation, plus more screen real estate is always a plus. No regrets at all.

Love my 11”, love the new form factor and prefer the new keyboard. Only thing I’d change is either a function row (unlikely) or global shortcuts, which should have been introduced long ago.

Very happy w/the 11" and haven't experienced the issues that people have been complaining about on here lately. Form factor is amazing for me.

Going from the original iPad Air to this 12.9 powerhouse is amazing. And the new pencil is icing on the cake. Just thrilled.

I really like it, but it still makes me nervous with some of the issues... At least I have until Jan to make my decision for sure. I am using the 2015 12.9 and 2018 12.9 as my computer. So I want to make sure it works for everything I need.

Really happy with it. I wasn’t super thrilled with the smart folio keyboard at first because I miss being able to fold it around as a stand and stuff, but overall I find it more than meets my needs. I was using my 10.5 as a “laptop replacement” already, so there’s no shock and awe for me; I knew what to expect and am more than satisfied. I treat my stuff with care so the bending issues and stuff are all non-issues for me.
