Hi Guys,

I have noticed quite a few people here have had luck with their orders turning up for iMac's that they ordered after the Leopard release. .

I am not one of those lucky people. My iMac was ordered on 26th october from Australia. Meaning it was ordered before the Leopard launch in the states. It is a 24" 2.4 ghz upgraded to the 2.8ghz chip, and with 500gb hdd. Apparently apple are still building the thing!

How many other people are waiting for customized iMac's purchased before the leopard release???

Hopefully mine will turn up next week, but who knows. At least it means I will get paid again before it turns up so I can go out and buy 4gb of ram to upgrade it.

Cheers,
Kris

ahh, I'm envious.

I had a 20" before, but sold it so I could get the 24" 2.8. Apple have put the hard drive in mine so hopefully not too long before it arives.

I order my two this Monday the 5th. One was shipped on the 9th, the other shipped today the 10th.

Now spend all day refreshing fedex status

ordered mine on the 2nd of november and still has not came in yet
i live in canada and ordered for canadian store and it is still not in yet

I ordered iMac 24" 2.8 with 2GB RAM, 500 HD, wireless mouse and keyboard on Monday the 5th. It arrived in US this morning and is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday morning. I guess FedEx is not working on Monday.

I like the poster above am wearing out the FedEx tracking site...:)

I ordered my custom 20 inch: 2.0GHz iMac on Oct 27. I added 2GB RAM and Wireless Keyboard / Mouse to my order. I also ordered a 80GB iPod Classic, as i'm a student and qualify for the £85 rebate.

They were Shipped on Nov 3 and the expected delivery date is 14 Nov.

The "Current Delivery Status" is: In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed.

I phoned apple yesterday asking when i would get my tracking number, as the Carrier Tracking number is currently at: "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly."

I was told that my order on it's way to London. Once it is in London i will get my tracking number. It will be delivered by either UPS or TNT.

I better get my iMac and iPod on Wednesday! The anticipation in unbearable! :)

so many people are getting their custom iMac's.

Apple what's going on...i want my iMac already.

I got an e-mail from Apple apologising for the delay that I had been talking about in my thread. It said when it should be delivered by so check your inboxes!

Well my 24" 2.8 is sitting in the FedEx facility in Las Vegas! Arrived about 5:00PM today. If FedEx is working on Veterans Day then I will have it Monday, if not, then on Tuesday before 10:30AM. Not bad...only seven days total from order to delivery...:D

I custom ordered mine on the 5th. It was electronically shipped to UPS on the 9th, handed off to UPS on the 10th. It's now in my province (Port Hope) with the status "in transit". I hope I get it on Monday although the scheduled delivery date is the 15th.

Oh, I did *not* ask for expedited shipping, but it's being shipped expedited anways. Cheers.

Still not gone mine either

Ordered my 24" iMac 2.4 ghz (with wireless keyboard and mouse options plus 500 GB disk) the night before Leopard was released (25th at 20:00).

Now when I check the status of the order it says:

In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed

And has said that since the 6th of November. When I call Apple they say "Well it is supposed to arrive the 12th of November" (ie. Today!) So we will see if that is correct, but a friend of mine living in the UK said that his status was updated to something like "Arrived at UK distribution centre" a day before his came to his door. Does anyone know what to expect? I'm staying home all day today - but don't know how many days I can do this before I start pissing some people off.

Thanks,

Martin

Well, I guess this delay only occurs on orders from Europe. At least it's happening in my case too. I'm from Spain and I've ordered two iMacs, one of them on 29th October and has been delayed two times, not showing carrier details. Second was ordered a week ago and it's on schedule so at the moment I think it's normal. Also this is not happening with Macbooks, which are being recieved on a week, always on time.
I can't wait!! Hope these delays will solve as soon as posible!
Sorry for my bad English, regards.

Delays ? - Pergaps this is actually a good thing

I ordered mine at the start of November too - 4th replacement for a BTO 2.8 with 500GB Drive. Anyhow every other machine (all BTO's) came out of stock in CZ and were with me in around 6 days. this last one is taking much longer -

I've already checked the serial number from the invoice on this latest one and it's a week 45 build - shipping direct from Shanghai.

I'm wondering / hoping / praying, that the delays are due to Apple taking a closer look at the recent issues - potentially weeding out targetted and /or recognised under par components. Just a thought :)

Well it looks like the planeload being held back is still showing its effects. :(
Still no update.

Here's my progress so far (UPS):

Find Sandmans thread, 'On Fedex Vehicle For Delivery' read it and your door bell will ring, your iMac will magically appear - even if you've seen no tracking detail to date - that is what happened to me - very very odd but it worked :D

Ok welll......There is still no news on where my iMac is. Maybe it's just the particular apple warehouse that stocks Australia.

why not drive to a local Apple retailer and pick it up?
0 wait time? :)

The only store in the whole country here is apparently only a reseller and they deal in another currency which works out more expensive.

Delayed until 16 November

I got an email yesterday stating that my shipment could be delayed until the 16th of November (Friday). A bit dissapointing considering everytime I call them "you should get it today or tomorrow!" and I got the email almost immediately after I got off the phone with a girl who said "It's arrived in Sweden today and you should see it update on the system today or tomorrow with a tracking number." I'm starting to consider writing a complaint, because staying at home for the shipment is not good - and their tracking/logistics updates are pretty bad. Has anyone else had these kinds of problems?

Mine showed up wicked fast....too bad I'm out of town on business and can't enjoy it. It's my first Apple-a 24" imac with a 500gig hdd and 4 gigs of ram waiting to be installed. Hopefully, Leopard is installed and ready to roar.
