Is it just the BTO iMacs that are taking a long time?
If I order a standard, non-customised model from the Apple online store will it come quickly? (in the UK)
Here's my update:
Yesterday my estimated delivery date was Nov 14.
I just logged on on to check the status of my order. I now have my Carrier Tracking Number, and the Assigned Carrier says UK DISTRIBUTION CENTER....
BUT my estimated delivery date is now NOV 22!! Surely it can't take 7-9 days to deliver it from a UK Distribution Center!
Well, I called UPS as the delivery status hasn't changed in 3 days ("In transit from Alaska to Ontario"). I'm told that that the delivery date will be met, but no sooner as it's being sent by truck!<snip> Is it so hard to deliver a computer from one part of the world to another in this day and age?<snip>
This has gotten a little bit out of hand. I've seen people being offered iPod Radio Remotes as compensation that magically disappear off the account notes the next day.
Did you complain and get compensation? Who did you call/how did you do it? Because I am ready to write a complaint myself - or maybe call them? The updates given of the shipment are poor and i've been sitting around home doing nothing more than waiting for my iMac all week - and they have told me everytime I call "it's coming tomorrow!"
I did notice the status of my order is now in the NL Distribution Centre, does anyone know how long it takes from the distribution centre until I get it?
Thx. However, shippingsidekick is showing the same status as the UPS website. Cheers.sabesh, track your order using shipping sidekick. I was wondering why my order (MBP) hasn't changed for 3 days from AK to ON, but after checking with shipping sidekick, its in Louisville KY now... apparently UPS updates their tracking whenever they want to.
The iMac finally arrived this evening! (Placed order on November 5th):
Did it come with Leopard drop in disc or pre-installed?
Thanks.
