As I'm trying to find reviews and info on quality screen protectors. Every post is littered with people saying they are dumb and useless.

I know im gonna scratch my watch without one.

I just installed an Armorshield last night. It fits the entire glass (including the curves). You really can't tell it's there and I feel a lot more secure about wearing my watch at work.

Makes little sense to purchase a watch with sapphire glass and not trust the hardness enough that you feel compelled to cover it up.

Yes, I was waiting for something like this. I use similar wet-install shields on my regular watches, and no one even knows I have it on. The best part of this material is that it "repairs" itself after a scratch within a couple of hours. I'm completely against normal screen protectors, but something like this that no one can tell you have it on are no-brainer. I've scratched every watch I owned before I started using them. Too bad I don't have my watch yet lol.

I hated screen protectors also until they started making them in glass. Now I love them. My phone has one and I really feel much better about the phones safety. I'm a little ocd and the smallest knick or crack/ scratch will drive me insane.

Ordered that armor shield for the watch. Hopefully I will like it and do a good job w the install.

Despite what I said, I've been using a screen protector for a week and I've noticed some scratches on it. I'd rather the scratches be on the protector, than the ION-X glass...

I'm currently thinking about getting the Nike edition Series 2. I'm thinking of getting a screen protector, but because I'll also be using it for swimming, I'm not sure if it's even practical to have a screen protector. Won't it eventually come off like that whether it's tempered glass protector or a film base screen protector?

I haven't seen any that look and fit well. The look and feel of the screen is damaged by the protector, ironically.
I got a Zagg screen protector for my original Apple
Watch. It didn't cover the whole screen, just the flat part. It didn't look terrible but it didn't look great either. I'm currently looking for a curved screen protector that covers all the glass.

My series 2 doesn't have sapphire. It's the aluminum case so it only has X-Ion glass.

I wouldn't waste my money on them. Both the sapphire and x-ion glass are more then plenty durable for daily use. Since launched in 2015 I have worn a SS watch and my wife and Aluminum one, both of our watches are 100% scratch free.

Plus we have owned plenty of non Apple Watches over our lives, none of which had either of us ever thought about putting a protector of any kind over the glass face.

Truth is the only product I use a protector on is my iPhone. It is most likely not needed either, but since that is the device that is most likely to get dropped, I feel it is worth it.

Ultimately, it is a personal choice.

Same here. None of my other watches have a protective thingamabob on their glass.

If anything, I'd say that a cushioned bumper could protect the AW like a Casio G-Shock, but a screen protector isn't necessary.
