I figured you were joking on at least half of those, but I still think being able to store drawings in the Pencil for safe keeping would be super cool. Not sure how practical or necessary it would be, but still.....
Yeah, the more I think about some of the ideas I put in there, the more I like them. If there jaws a way to do Apple Pay, I'd rather tap a pencil on the device that wave my arm around looking for the particular device's hot spot for the transactions.

- Apple Pay
- An eraser
- Thinner
- Lighter (no, really, a lighter in it.)
- Multiple ink colors, like those pens from 1977, just slide and it clicks a different color
- Space Grey
- Jet Black
- A sharpener
- Ability to store drawings in it
- Use with my :apple: Watch
- Use with my iMac Pro 2017
- Dynamic Function Keys
- A manual. No, really, something that I can read to know the actual documented functions that it can do, not some pop-up that I can never find again after I dismiss it.

OK, I've had enough frivolity for a day...

Don't forget being able to use it as a wand like I'm Harry Potter for gestures.

But what what do you want in a second-generation Apple Pencil?

1. an eraser on the other end. i'm constantly flipping my pencil around for no reason.
2. programmable button (s) for quick access to various features. it could even be like a "squeeze" the pencil type sensor or capacitive, where no physical button is even visible.
3. give me a space grey option please

I would love a space grey option--I'm not sure I would buy one to replace my white one just for the color, but I would definitely go space grey if it were an option for Apple Pencil 2.

I find once I get comfortable with a drawing app UI (assuming it's well-designed) it's much faster to tap the eraser button than to flip my pencil around.

Agreed on the other points.

I don't know If the pro motion makes a big difference because I never used the Apple Pencil with the old iPad pros. However I used an adonit pixel with an iPad Air 2 and it became useable after I took my glass screen protector off to write notes. It never felt that comfortable or natural to me and it still have errors. However using the Apple Pencil with my 10.5 inch iPad Pro is just wow. It feels so natural and smooth, for me just as easy as writing on paper and quicker than typing.

as a artist i can say it makes zero difference to my fundamental drawing experience. i make the same art on my old 9.7 as i can on my new 12.9. i do wish they had worked more on the drawing/writing tactile experience. it lacks in that department. Reduced latency, while nice does not make my drawing or writing experience better. No fundamental difference for me. i can see the difference, but i cant draw fast enough to make the old hardware a limitation, so i don't benefit from promotion. that said, it is lovely for the UI and surfing the web.

Im still wishing for textured glass, and less palm rejection/gesture glitches (not sure if its procreate issue or hardware issue).

Pencil still feels gen 1 to me, its a good stylus experience. just not quite up to wacom pro pen 2 standards yet. but pretty close. its the third best stylus i have used. pro pen 2 is the best, samsung s-pen second and apple pencil is the third. Active stylus just dont feel as good as EMR yet. maybe next update!

:apple: Pencil is the way to go!! I have been writing for over a month on GoodNotes and I rarely use the finger to browse; I just love the eraser options & ink colours. I am impatiently waiting for more capabilities in iOS 11

I really like your drawing storage idea. That would be super cool.

I'd love it if you could invoke it by turning the pencil sideways and "scooping up" whatever you want to save on the pencil (rather than having to, say, "save -> choose pencil" or invoke airdrop)
