Looks as though it's a moot point now, as "Nature in Unexpected Places" has soared to the lead, with "Liquid" as a close second....

I'm intrigued by that "in unexpected places" bit.... sure, "Nature," that's easy, but I suspect that the "unexpected places" will be more of a challenge than people realize.

It also occurs to me....chances are that not everyone voting for the topic is going to even be participating. Maybe in the future we should require that in order to vote someone MUST subsequently submit an entry?

That's my terror! Although I guess I could take a picture of almost anything in London and call it unexpected.

Again quite likely unless we end up with over 30 entries. It would be tough to police such a rule though. People might vote with the best intention of entering but then fail due to time constraints or lack of inspiration. Or feel they had to post something even if it wasn't up to their usual standard. Besides, even if someone doesn't enter, they're still going to look at the results... so they might deserve some say in what they'll be looking at.

Oh, no, here we go again with another tie!!

Hm, well, I could a lot with "Liquid" more easily than I can "Nature in Unexpected Places..." C'mon, somebody, nudge "Liquid" into first place!!!! Break that tie!!

Yeah, you're right, Applespider, it would be difficult to actually monitor who voted/who actually then participated with an entry.... And of course it's not as though this were an actual competition or challenge, it's just a fun thing for those of us with cameras to do.

I do hope liquid is pushed ahead. It has been raining here for days. Plenty of water everywhere. This time I promise to submit.... =)

an actual image.... not in a weird perverted way. At least not without coffee first.

Just end the voting now while we have a winner:)

EDIT: Nature in unexpected places provides a challenge. Liquid not so much. C'mon!

Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't want such a voting rule since I generally have the intention of submitting something, but since I'm a student who has lots of things to do, it's hard sometimes.

And "Nature in Unexpected Places" is a much better topic that will require lots more thinking, but it's definitely more interesting than water.

However, seeing as how I'm completely surrounded by nature and green-ness, its going to be hard to find a place where nature DOESN'T exist. I'm sure many of you have the opposite problem, especially living in the city. I think city-dwellers will have a much easier time with this one.

I agree that "nature in unexpected places" is readily a more thought provoking theme than liquid... but let us not forget there are way more liquids in this world than just "water".

GO LIQUID! :)
