If I wasn't getting a macbook this would be an extremely cool pc to throw around. Putting osx on it would be a sintch too.

It's true. If you could put Os X on some of these notebooks then there would be incentive.

But Hackintosh is not a lot of fun. It's a royal PITA if you are not a techy type.

If you don't believe me just go to the (rather good) OSX86 sites and read some of the threads.

A nightmare of issues. (they get all excited to get it running )

don't asus make laptops for apple anyway?
if apple were to bring out something like this i'm sure ppl would buy it
but then nobody would buy the air
oh well, but was the air selling that well anyway?
i'm sure this thing would sell much better - and so apple could make more money back
maybe this is the $899 thing that is being launched tmr?

The spec on the asus are too low.

Air way better, especily the NEW MBA.
