Question: I just got my 3GS yesterday and when I synched my phone to Itunes, it did 2 updates automatically. Do I have MMS already on my phone after those 2 updates?

Probably.
If you don't see the MMS capability, first restart your phone, and then check to ensure that your carrier settings are updated to 5.5 or above. (Go to Settings > General > About, it's listed under "Carrier.")
If you have an older version, you'll want to connect your phone to iTunes and check for available updates.
