I find it odd for them to sell out to, why not give a reasonable guess to a shipment date.. if it's later than what might be schedule then send an email regarding it. But just a message of sold out would definitely lose a potential sale as @Rafterman points out.
Have you gotten any update from “in process”? I don’t know anyone how got a shipped notice with att yet

Tbh, I ordered mine from Best Buy. Not entirely sure how AT&T plans to handle their orders. But I would think it's similar to how any other retailers that has iPad Pro preorders. Once stock comes in from Apple that's when AT&T will give updates on when shipment will arrive.

AT&T won't ship from China, like Apple does. So they won't start moving yet. AT&T and other vendors will get get their deliveries prestaged first in the US, then they will process out of wherever the vendors normally process out of, probably starting next week.

Good to know! But, I guess this will add to the overall delivery times.

So does anyone know if “ordered” means we are good to go with the monthly financing? Or if credit approval is another step? I have financed phones and iPads via AT&T with no issues. I do see I have not been charged taxes or anything else on my current order. And we get an email when it ships right?

I had a pending charge as soon as I hit the submit order button. The pending charge disappeared just a few days ago.
For once I can’t wait for someone to take money out of my account lol

It won't add. AT&T's estimates are based on when they expect their stock to arrive from Apple in the US. So Apple will have them shipped from China via UPS to the the UPS hub in Lexington. From there they will be divided among consumers and commercial recipients. AT&T will get there's delivered from there to their warehouses, checked in, labels printed and shipped out to customers from there.

If they let you order, you were approved. I had mine add the taxes to my next bill so I didn't have to worry about $166 at the moment.

I had $210 charged to my card, but it's since dropped off already. Mine isn't scheduled to ship until late May.
I that a bad sign? Meaning a delay in shipping, or just a preliminary ”test” of the charge card? I’ve seen this this before with a $1.00 ”testing” charge.

No, that's normal. Apple does it too a lot of the times - a pre-charge. It's just to check that the card is good, and they will re-charge when ready to process. Sometimes, it's just a dollar as you said, sometimes the full amount. Personally, I'd rather they just take it all now and be done with it.

Agreed! My money flows into my account once a month (not my only account), but that is the one I use to non-living expenses. So, I have to monitor that there is money there. Not knowing exactly when the charge is being made is a bit tricky.

It's easier for the merchant to not charge until the product is shipping, especially with a pre-order so if you cancel they don't have to worry about refunds while also then reallocating that inventory.

Good to know. Unfortunately, recently, I’ve seen FedEx extend a reported delivery date by a day or two. The pandemic I suppose, and other disruptions these days.
That is true. They are trying hard though to recover from the tragedy in Indianapolos. It affected every aspect of their shipment schedules for many days.

Anyone seeing any shipping updates yet? I was thinking that probably by Wednesday, we would see some sort of movement, but curious if anyone saw anything earlier.
