oh and I didnt say I kept getting more bars in more places, but rather this was the slogan of ATT on billboards, which I find really ironic and funny. Signal was good, just 3G internet was non existent, so had to switch over to 2G

ohhhhhh you finally found me! john!!!!!

It must have just been you OP. I was on a train from CT down to Baltimore yesterday and had 3G all the way down. From southern CT to NYC, NJ, PA, DE and MD it was all good service.

I'm in lower DE near Ocean City, MD and we've been having service problems for weeks. We've called AT&T several times and gone through their protocol, etc but they keep telling us that our area has 4 towers and 1 of them is down.

Major delays on getting texts and voicemails (after not receiving the call)..

Long Branch is on the East Coast about 40 Miles south of New York City right along the Eastern Seaboard, it is part of Central New Jersey if that helps out.

I already said it was me haha

Sorry to resurrect an old thread (why make a new one on the same topic, ya know?) I was just wondering if anyone here was having problems with their service (3G and Edge) south of Baltimore, MD (Anne Arundel Country area).

It was working fine earlier today, now all of a sudden me and my girlfriend are getting bad service and it keeps going in and out of Edge, from full to no bars. No 3G at all.

This morning mine kept switching back and forth from edge to 3G. It seems to have resolved now. I'm about 30 minutes outside of Pittsburgh PA.

I live on long island, suffolk county to be more specific. And lately even though my phone would be showing full service and 3G, when I went to use it in an app it would tell me that you need an internet connection to play, or safari would have constant 3G spinning and come back with no connection to server established or some bs, even though my iPhone was still showing full service or at least 3 bars. This has never happened before and has happened 2 out of the past 3 days. My guess is that it has something to do with AT&T switching over to the 850 frequency and turning off the old one? Or I could just be trying to make excuses for it. In either situation, if it continues to occur I will be calling up AT&T and asking for compensation. $20 comp on bill is the usual treatment. Lastly, I have been noticing leading up to my problem that my phone would previously have very eratic signal. Even if I didn't move my location my bars would jump from none to full to 3 to 2 back to none or just edge at some points. Very peculiar considering in those areas I usually have no problem and very good service most of the time. I hope this helps!

Edit: After fully reading through the topic it seems that some other people have experienced the sudden changes in signal and internet between 3G and 2G, as well as no or full service.
