at&t turns on my MMS on 3.1 beta 2...and then turns it off :(

THIS IS STANDARD 3.1 BETA 2, NO HACKING

UPDATE:
I know I'm going to get a lot of crap for this, but after sending a couple messages I just tried again and it stopped working. Going to reboot and see if that helps.
Reboot didn't help, they shut me down. Others have posted that they were able to send as well, guess it wasn't just a fluke with my account.


I have been able to send to my email and another iPhone, when the iPhone tried to FWD back to me I got the MMS webpage thing (which I never got before b/c Im on family text plan). <-- I was mistaken, what the other iPhone got was the viewmymessage from my MMS to it, so the FWD/reply back was just that same message. So I never got to test inbound.

NOTE: My SMS stopped working and I rebooted my iPhone and then MMS worked, so if you have 3.1 b2 try restarting your phone before testing.

I'm going to have to agree with this. Main reason being there isn't multiple threads popping up at once with the same subject.

Other reason being we've seen so many of these already with the OP using some hack to get it working long enough to take a screenshot.

I haven't done anything with my iPhone at all, no JB, no IPCC files, nothing. I was trying to text my g/f and then I noticed a SMS didn't go through and I tried 3 more times and it failed. I rebooted my iPhone and then I was able to text her.

After that I thought about the fact that whenever anything changes in the att system you need to reboot to force your phone to download the new settings so I thought, hey let me give MMS a try and it worked.

Again I sent to 1 iPhone 3.0 and my email and that's all I've tested so far.

So you texted a picture of your girlfriend's chest to your girlfriend? Interesting choice of test pictures.

Also in your OP, the recipient of your first MMS didn't recognise your number. Weird that your girlfriend wouldn't know your number...

show a screenshot of your info page, im willing to bet youve updated your carrier file to a hacked one
 
I kind of believe him about not hacking, since I haven't seen him on any of the threads dealing with all the hacks. However, it sure is looking like a duck and smelling like a duck.......especially with that first MMS that he got.

Edit: Glad lostprophet is here. He'll get to the bottom of this for sure.

It was some weird number, same number you can see in the picture of the one I sent to email.

You know I didn't hack becuase now it's not working for me anymore. Hopefully it comes back on soon, but right now I'm getting the red (!).


I guess I shouldn't have posted this (just wanted to be first), but I've been trying MMS no hack whenever it's been enabled in the betas and it has never worked so I thought I was finally turned on and ready to go.

Let the flaming being :(

Wait so when you send the MMS, it comes from a number that's not yours? That's odd.

And you were only able to send, not receive. Right?

Yeah, I had my g/f try to FWD the MMS she got from me back to me (since she is only on 3.0) and I got the view my messages link, although since I'm on a family plan I never get that with an MMS. Usually if someone sends me an MMS I never know about it.
