I have started this thread to make it easier for us Aussies to see when the MBAs start shipping our way. Add your details:

Wow, for a second there I thought you wouldn't get yours until November! Haha, silly me.

Now I am seeing that you switch the positions of the day and month. In the US it goes MM/DD/YY, I guess you use DD/MM/YY.

My Ethernet adaptor, extra power supply and superdrive have now moved to 'prepared for shipment'. The MBA itself and the micro DVI to video adaptor are still 'Not yet shipped' though.

Ordered January 21 (about four hours after my VAIO TX17 was confirmed to be dead).

1.8GHz, 80GB HDD.

Shipping Tuesday Feb 12th, delivered by Monday Feb 18th.

I'm really, really hoping it gets to Adelaide before the weekend (on the 15th). If it doesn't, I have to redirect shipping to ACT.

Since the accessories were also meant to be shipped on Feb 12th (they were shipped today, are in Sydney at the moment, and should arrive by Monday), I'm hoping that they ship my MBA before the 12th, so that it comes by the 15th.

Anyone else think that is likely?

Did you buy an additional Micro DVI to video adapter?
I think one is included with the MBA, in the box.

At least I hope it is. Otherwise I have some more shopping to do

Nice to see a thread lookin out for all those Skips out there :)

I ordered the 1.8Ghz/80GB (just couldn't quite justify the extra cash for the SSD), along with a whole lot of other things (decided to step into the wonderful world of technology and get myself an iPod, as well as a copy of Office 2008). The shipping date is 15th Feb, delivery by 19th, and that's really coz the copy of Office will take a week longer according to Apple.com.

Needless to say, I've been obsessing about my soon-to-be new laptop.

...Hope I'm not alone ;)

It includes a microdvi-vga and microdvi-dvi adapter, but the microdvi-video adapter (to connect it to a TV) is an optional extra.

1.6/80g ordered about 6 hours after keynote. Ships by 07/02 delivered by 11/02

Just checked again and now showing "Prepared for shipment"!!! Wasn't showing this earlier this afternoon, so must have only changed in the last couple of hours!!! The delivered by date now also has changed to 13/02 (was 11/02).

That's odd.
On one hand, I'm really excited that yours is prepared for shipment earlier than usual - hopefully it will ship tomorrow. I'm hoping that mine will also ship a bit earlier than predicted (12/02), so that I don't have to redirect shipment interstate.

On the other hand, the delivered by date jumping to the 13th is a bit worrying. :(

Why do you think it's actually moved forward to the 13th, when it could possibly ship as early as the 4th (tomorrow)?

Not sure, although others ship and deliver dates have been that distance apart e.g.:
"lstoll - MBA 1.8/2GB/80GB-AUS Ships by: 08/02/2008 Delivers by: 14/02/2008".

My original order was only showing 4 days between ship by and delivered by dates (with a weekend in between) which was probably unrealistic for it to ship from China on a Thursday and arrive (in Brisbane) on the Monday, so maybe the 6 day figure is just Apple being a bit more conservative/realistic. I'm hoping it ships Monday so that I might get it before the end of the week. Fingers crossed!

Hmm... all my accessories arrived this morning... but the laptop itself still has't hit prepared for shipment, still says ship on the 8th, arrive on the 14th. Hopefully not too much longer! At least I have a superdrive, ethernet adaptor, microdvi-video and power supply to play with.

Not quite the same though ;)

Yo Istoll, the whole drip-feed of ordered products is a double-edged sword. I opted against that, choosing instead to have Apple hold all my products together until all were ready for shipment. But I ordered Office 2008 at the same time and it's shipment ("3-4 weeks" estimated) means that it's holding back my MBA, iPod and a few other goodies that I can't wait to get my greasy paws on!

The exact same thing happened to me - so not sure if I should get excited or try and stay calm...

My accessories arrived this morning also.

I want my MBA, already!
Can people let me know if any prepared/shipment/delivered by dates change? If apple is delivering them earlier than tracking suggests for other people, then hopefully the same will happen for me. I'm keen to plan whether I need to redirect shipment.

I'm surprised that Office 2008 is holding it up. I ordered a copy today and it's already shipped to be delivered tomorrow.

Call it torture

Hmm, well that was my theory anyways... dunno what it might be...

...Unless...Steve Jobs himself knows that I've never been a Mac user before (yes, I'm making "the switch", and rather stylishly too!) and therefore he's punishing me by making me wait painfully long. ;)
