Okay, I am trying to get a grasp on this whole thing with what will happen when iOS 5 is released. Right now, I have never had a Mobile Me account other than for the Find My iPhone app. I went to https://www.me.com/upgrade/ and clicked "Log in to Mobile Me", which I had never done before. I logged in using my Apple ID and it took me to the Find My iPhone page (which I had never paid much attention to before, pretty cool! Took like 2 seconds to locate me almost down to thee exact apartment). Anyway, the only thing that came up was Find My iPhone with my name, under which had Account, Help, and Sign Out. I clicked on Account and that took me to My Apple ID. So. I guess my question is, once iCould is released, will those of us who never had mobile me accounts get a new @me.com or some similar address or will we just log into the cloud with our existing Apple ID and go from there?

Removing duplicate entries

Here's a solution that I used. After enabling iCloud on both Mac & iPad, once the contacts were synched, i disabled the iCloud account on address book. Verified all my contacts were on iCloud, by logging into it from a browser. On the mac, selected all the addresses, exported to a file, and deleted them. Then enabled the iCloud account on address book on MAC. Now I do not have any duplicates.

PhoneBook CleanMaster may help

I cloud makes it convenient to automatically backup, but synchronization has become a nightmare if you try with multiple accounts or PC's. I found out some Apps can help, one of them is PhoneBook CleanMaster, help me with synchronization across multiple PC's. No free app though, sign:rolleyes:

I have searched other threads for the answer to this but haven't found the answer to my specific question...

My wife and I both share a single Apple ID so that any music, apps, movies, etc purchased on one of our devices is available to the other without the need to repurchase the same thing twice.

We also use separate mobile me accounts so that she can sync her contacts and calendar details between her computer and devices, and I can do the same with my own contacts and calendar entries (which are different than hers).

I need to know how to setup iCloud + MobileMe syncing on the new iOS 5 beta so that she and I don't wind up merging each other's contact and calendar details without one another:

We share the same iCloud account but have different mobile me accounts. Do we leave the mobile me contact and calendar sharing checked, and then disable iCloud contact and calendar sharing? See the screenshots below -

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!
