Ok. There was/is a bug in watchOS 10 where track recording stops intermediately and distance is wrong.

Sorry, have no further idea what causes your problems.

Just had a call with Apple support. They also have no idea, maybe a hardware issue. They probably pick up my watch next week to investigate. Thanks for your help
