iPad Pro Back to School promotion

Question on the Back to School deal, if I return just the AirPods, will I get a refund? Also, how does the refund work? Do they pro-rate it between iPad and AirPods or will I get the full $159 back?
iStyle is a little ahead of our local Apple Online Store. Offers better student sale (8% vs 4%) and trade ins, even for non Apple devices. Had me to return iPad I preordered from Apple for a cheaper one (technically got 256GB version for 128GB’s price). Apple’s own phone support is still unrivalled though.
I returned my iPad Pro because of a DOA scratch on the screen. And I was told that if I returned the iPad only, I would only get a partial refund (iPad price minus AirPods price). If you look at your bill, the price reduction was applied on the iPad. And you paid full for the AirPods. But I didn't ask what if I return the AirPods only. I guess it would be a full refund or nothing.
(So I returned the whole order and ordered everything again
Just sell them on eBay or your local second-hand market site. I tried to do that yesterday at my local apple store and they said no as my iPad Pro was discounted on top of the educational price and they charged me for the AirPods. So basically you would still be paying for the AirPods if you were to purchase a Macbook, iPad or MacMini.

I find selling to be stressful and too much hassle. I’d much rather just work a couple hours overtime at my normal job than deal with the hassles of selling.
It began in 2020 in Europe on July 8, so you could reasonably expect it to be launched soon.

There is a promotion in the US for a free pair of Airpods with qualifying purchases. The same promotion happened in the US and Europe last year, with Europe beginning later than US. It is almost certain that the promotion will be starting again in the EU very soon.
The discount you showed earlier in the thread is the normal all-year round education discount. This promotion is an extra on top of that.
For the past three years, the UK promo start date has been Thursday, July 9, 2020, Tuesday, July 9, 2019, and Thursday, July 12, 2018. It will typically run until October.
