10.3 beta 4, iPhone SE. Battery life is actually quite okay on my device. I can get through navigation for about 2 hours with music playing, and constant messages coming in throughout the rest of the day and an hour or so of games. Sometimes I can even end the day with about 40-50% remaining.
I'm guessing it really depends on your uses?

Take your phone to Apple. The diagnostics they do show the last 2 weeks of your battery capacity. If the average is below 80, as yours seems to be, they replace it for free (if under warranty).

Hello everyone.

Starting from iOS 10.2.1 beta 2, I notice a significantly reduced battery life. From others posts, I think this may be a software issue. Future updates could solve the problem.

Then I check the Coconut Battery. It shows I have a battery with 351 charge cycles. Maximum capacity (Design capacity times the percentage number shown in the bar right below "design capacity") fluctuates from 41% in low battery, to 79% when in full charge.

I now suspect my battery needs service but not entirely sure. However, I also see many posts from various forum members saying they have bad battery life.

While seeking for battery diagnostics, I wonder how many people noticing significantly worse battery life after upgrading to iOS 10.2.1? I remember in iOS 10.1.1 battery life was not that bad.
My problem is getting iOS 10.3.1 to install OTA. On my SE with 64gb I have noticed no battery life between versions. I routinely run gps.

Uh... 'No battery life'?
Correction- no significant difference in battery life on my SE when running ver. from 9.x to 10.2.1 and 10.3.1. This includes using VZ gps. I have noticed a slight decrease when running HUD apps that use gps to project speed on your window. So, I think the
latest iOS is ok as long as your program are current. My battery test programs are not that accurate. Now, if anyone has determined what is preventing 10.3.1 OTA from installing. Sorry for the typo

Can agree with that, I used my SE all the way from 10.1 to 10.3.2, no battery life drain, no drastic performance or battery changes anywhere. Not too sure why people say their battery life is poor. Probably because of different usage?

For my case i found it's the signal , if you live in an area with poor signal(3G) and you have enabled 4G on Voice&Data it will drain , that's something they changed on 10.2.1 and took me 1 month to find the issue .

I have an iPhone SE and my best battery life was on 10.2. Unfortunately I have tried the 10.3.x and I regret every day. They are killing my battery.
I maybe have a explanation. Until 10.2.1 Apple used to build an specific ipsw for SE. (iPhoneSE_10.2.1_14D27_Restore.ipsw)

However, since 10.3 release they used to merge the build with iphone5s, and the ipsw for SE is now
(iPhone_4.0_64bit_10.3.x)

I think that can explain the difference in behaviour!

Quite the observation there, never noticed it. I doubt that would cause any major issues though, if any the iPhone 5S should be the one having the slightly poorer battery life.

I've experienced the same with my iPhone 7 battery. Was great on iOS 10.2 but since updating to iOS 10.2.1 through to iOS 10.3.1 it's been poor. Hoping maybe iOS 10.3.2 can improve things as it'll be the last iOS 10 update.

Where do you see that the build was merged with some other model? The hardware is different so it doesn't seem likely it would be merged.

It is the SAME file for both devices. Maybe they use "generic" solutions for both

It is. Mine lost al most 1 hour of normal usage. As I've said before, I just gave up on good battery life with an iPhone. and my iPad too. Love the upgrades but hate what they do to the battery life of devices.

I am having issues with battery on 6s plus with 10.3.1. I have had iPhone since iphone4 but this is First time ever I'm seeing battery percentage jumping when connected to a charger. My husband's iphone7 plus stared acting very strange with 10.3.1 as well. His phone would not charge when connected. He hard resetted his phone then started charging again. So two phones batteries acting strange with 10.3.1

I don't really make calls so I can't say for sure it drains during calls, but yes I do notice with prolonged camera usage it drains. Watching videos too, and playing intensive 3D games. Those are still the known battery drainers though, due to the nature of their functionality.
