How low does your battery's charge get before you start to feel anxious to recharge it?

For me I don't like seeing my battery slip below 40% or so. To me that's low, even though in reality the phone is only just below half of its usage capacity and has hours and hours of use left. It's a very rare sight to see my charge drop below 20%. Meanwhile I have friends who use their phones heavily and when they say "crap my battery is getting low" they literally mean they're down to like 3% and on the verge of a shutdown.

Just to be clear I'm not saying I actually get all anxious and panicked when my phone runs low, I'm not that dependant on my phone, I'm just curious because I saw another one of those sitcom moments on TV where a character picks up their phone in a crisis and discovers the battery is conveniently dead and it made me chuckle to think about how mine is never in danger of going dead and somehow people on TV don't pay attention at all.

So what's low to you? Curious to hear some opinions.

Normally it is when I reach 20% but in a typical day this doesn't happen. When i'm vacationing is when I start to get concerned. Now, when traveling I try to keep a battery backup with me just incase... but just about everywhere in the world there is a Starbucks nearby. I'm not a fan of the company but it's with the price of a small coffee or two to top off my battery.

I've never really had battery anxiety. With easy access to charging in my home, my work place, and my car, I know that in most situations my phone will last until I return to one of those places. If I know that I'm going to be out and about for a whole day I just fully charge before I leave. So far, I've never come close to draining my 8 Plus in a single day. Even my 3 year old iPhone 6 always got me though the day if I started fully charged.

I end my day with over 50% left on my 8 Plus, and charge it nightly, never do I get to a point where I am looking to plug it in while out and about. Add to the fact that I have two phones with me at all times it becomes a non issue. One phone is on a data only plan, the other phone has a cell plan and the other sim slot for data only plan as well.

With the iPhone 3GS and 4 I would end my day with about 10% left, so I'd have to carry a battery pack as a buffer.

I used to not worry much about recharging but now I do. Reason is iPhone sometimes turn super hot (somewhat enough to cause burning and battery drains like crazy, even if the indicator says 100%. Often time I am worrying my phone will die in an hour or so.

Now with Watch LTE, I am worried about draining Watch battery too fast when not carrying any battery pack with me and phone is not nearby.

So, a world of pain. Only battery pack could ease my pain.

It lasts easily two days, sometimes I forget to charge it and it is fine. Most of the time I'll have it on charge during that period at some point. I only get worried if I'm out and about and it drops below 5%...But that is only as I pay for public transport with Apple Pay and Uber with my phone as well.

I don't worry about the battery life. I usually have advantages of periodically charging throughout the day in different locations.

Never had to worry as I have been using plus size iPhones and there is never less than 50% remaining with my use.

They only time I know how much power is remaining is when I place it on the wireless charger and it shows the rate of charge.

If I forget to charge and hit 20% early in the day that's a bit of a pain, though battery saver usually ekes it out until I'm home

I turned the battery percentage off a few years ago and never looked back
Now I rarely even look at my charge as I last all day easily and never worry about it
I have a wireless charging pad at work and at home, and if I'm not going to be using it (iPhone X) I might lay it on the pad
I could easily go 2 maybe 3 days on a charge with my usage, so battery anxiety doesn't exist for me

While I'm mindful of my battery level especially while I'm working I dont get anxiety from it. Even if it shuts off I consider that a opportunity to calibrate the gauge.

I don't worry at all about battery life; if I notice it's getting low on either of my phones I simply place one on the mat.

No battery means I can finally get some peace and quiet. No anxiety here.

For a long time, I've had battery anxiety. The biggest thing is I know the proper way to charge a lithium ion battery, but I got sick of doing it. I now charge 100% every day and just forget about it.

One thing that really irks me with iPhones and only iPhones is how long they stay at 100%, even with use. If you fully charge your iPhone, you will get 30+ minutes of usage before it shows 99%. Yesterday I was really busy at work, and my phone took 5h of standby and nearly 30 minutes of usage before it hit 99%. This is just not realistic, and leads people to believe the battery is better than it is. Don't get me wrong, my 8 plus is good. Watch any battery drain test on YouTube and the iPhones all drop like a stone from about 50% and down. It's not linear at all, which is frustrating. When an iPhone finally goes from 100-99%, it's probably closer to 97 or maybe even 96% if all things were equal. I guess it helps people who only use their phone lightly to feel like they finish with more battery? I don't know what the reasoning is.

No anxiety here. In fact I quite like that the battery percentage isn't visible at a glance with the X. With my usage, I'll have anywhere between 15 and 40 percent battery left at the end of the day, but that number is really not information I need, as I recharge the phone every night anyway.

I have it from 99% on. Though I carry a portable charger and external battery. I guess it's just me.

When it gets to about 25% I'll charge it usually though I haven't had either of my devices go that low in quite a while.

I need the battery percentage. I would go mad at guessing. I miss having that dBm hack on the iPhone too. Knowing my exact signal was very nice as in low signal areas, I could tell if I had just enough to use the internet or not. I don't mind bars with the V30+ as I haven't encountered my regular locations having low signal.

I turned off the battery percentage on my 6S and simply just use my phone. It lasted me a day just fine with less anxiety on my part. I only start looking for a power bank when the low power mode warning is triggered.

Did you get the v30 for it’s audio quality, or some other reason? It was on my list for new phones before I settled on my 8+.
