Since updating to iOS 13.2.3 etc I was suffering from severe battery drain for the first time ever (iPhone 7 Plus). I always done the updates via OTA but decided to do it via iTunes this time as it doesn't just do a patch update. I know it's only 3 1/2 hours in but I`m still at 100% with minimal use but it was draining before on standby. All background refresh always turned off etc. Looking good so far.

iOS 13 is just plain awful. Once had my phone drain from ~75% to 30% overnight. When it was mainly in standby mode with good cellular and WiFi signal.

Hopefully it fixed your issue. I will see how my devices fair (I noticed this issue across 3 different devices).

Battery life has been amazing on my iPhone 11 Pro in beta 4. I’m glad I haven’t updated. Both on my iPhone 11 Pro and iPad Pro 11-inch has been great on the beta.

Have you done DFU + All Settings Reset + Startover without backup?

If yes, maybe it’s hardware?

I DFU restored multiple times and I never restore from backups. The issue doesn't seem to be hardware as I have the issue with another iPhone. All of these phones are 90%+ in terms of battery health. The issue goes away once I sign out of iCloud.

I ran a proxy server a couple of days ago. It seems it's constantly trying to connect to iCloud which is preventing it from entering a deep sleep mode.

No problems with the battery life on my XR so far - have been getting down to 75-79% by the time I leave work. Given that I only listen to music half the day and otherwise don't touch it, hopefully I won't feel an impact.

What phone do you have and what was your battery life after signing out of icloud? Im going to try signing out as well and to see if that helps.

iPhone XR upgraded last night to iOS 13.3 @ 9:43pm fully charged 100% , checked this morning @ 7:00am still 99% remaining, it’s pretty good so far, I’m going to upgrade everyone in my family .

iPhone X. I don’t notice poor battery while using the phone. Just poor battery life when it’s on standby. However, my battery issue seem to be related to HomeKit with my Philips Hue bridge.

iPhone X owners. How’s battery on 13.3 compared to 13.2? Any improvements at all?

Are you experiencing battery drain during standby?

Interestingly, it seems that 13.3 also shows empirical evidence for better battery life:

On my iphone 7 ive seen about 25% drop after an hour of screen time so that seems to correlate with the video as well.

Those tests usefulness an only go so far. A better way would be test it multiple times and then average the scores and even then that has some flaws.

True, a single sample test isn't the most reliable lol.

But I was on 12.1.4 before this and I had worse battery life so I don't think it's just placebo noticing that it's a little better now.

I DFU restored iOS 13.3 recently without restoring any backup at all.

Maybe it’s just a coincidence but my battery life seems to be improved by a lot.
I’m finishing the day at 8PM with 4-5 hours of screen on time and with the battery at ~60%.

I charge the phone up to 95-100% before going to bed, no charging during the night.

Also another trick I started using is that I made an automation with the Shortcuts app so when Do Not Disturb is activated, it also activates Low Battery mode for the night.

iPhone XR, purchased in March. Battery health still shows 100%. Charging with wireless charger exclusively.
