You can get the official figure from Apple or 3U Tools. But that's less accurate.

You're probably talking of idle load. What's it under heavy load?

And how old is it? Which model? This is the first I'm hearing of an iPad Pro 10.5 with 100 cycles still being at 100%.

3U Tools doesn’t even work any more...at least mine doesn’t. That was with my Spectrum app streaming live TV, my AirPods connected, a bunch of browser tabs open, and a couple of apps in slide over. There are millions of 10.5 pros out there so why is it shocking to you? Have you surveyed them all? You keep saying you have proof that they all have bad batteries yet that isn’t possible.....

3U Tools works just fine.

I have surveyed over a dozen modern iPads, not one lived up to expectations. Not one. Including several in Apple stores, several owned by my family, and several owned by others online.

A whole dozen!!!! Not statistically significant.

The space grey model I sold that I had since it came out for almost 2 years had a battery wear of 87% according to 3Utools it definitely did not get the 10 hours of advertised usage anymore and it was more like 7-9 hours of continuous usage. When I repurchased the gold one i have now the battery wear was at 92% i don't notice the overall battery life being worse or better than my previous one. Considering this is now a 2+ year old tablet I'm still happy with the battery life.

It’s not supposed to be lower. It never is for new products. That’s a sign of battery degradation.

This is beyond inaccurate. You NEVER check a battery health when it's under load. Under load it will ALWAYS report lower health.

You are posting a lot of opinions without any facts to back it up. For years now you've been spewing battery nonsense.

All bickering aside, at the end of the day no battery lasts forever and it's up to the individual to decide how to mitigate that whether it's to purchase AppleCare+ or to just pay for replacement later under Apple's normal terms of service. If the battery needs replacement under normal warranty period that can be done as well provided Apple agrees that the battery warrants replacement. That's for them to decide not us so to me worrying about it is pointless and isn't going to deter me from getting full use of the device as I see fit.

I just wish there were more battery management tools. I love batteries. If my Anker batteries had management stats/reporting I'd probably have lost my job just staring at them. Not sure why I find batteries so much fun but they're a huge hobby of mine.

That said, batteries elicit near political like responses from some people and things can get heated very fast (pun intended).
