I personally take those 3rd party apps with a grain of salt. I ran Coconut Battery a couple of days ago on my 6th gen iPad and it shows 91% health with over 161 cycles in 4 years of use. Today it shows 90% health and current charge capacity at 81% with 166 cycles. Except my iPad says the current charge capacity is at 95% and I don't recall doing 5 extra cycles in a few days.Strange on Friday the battery health was 99,6% and now it’s 98,9%. Why is there so much up and down? When it came out of the box it was 98,4% if I remember correctly…. My battery is also from sunwoda…. Bad?
Mine was 96% out of the box and I have another « issue » with the battery of my M2 iPad. When I reboot the device, the battery % is never the same and can vary like 4% lower than before rebooting and I don’t have very good standby results as well. I’m on the fence if I return it or not because for the price I’ve paid, I don’t want to always worry about the battery. many people here said to forget about it and just use it but it’s many little issues that bring me a red flag about this because in my experience when batteries acted weird like this from the start there’s a good chance I’ll have real battery issues in the mid~long run range.I just swapped out my M2 iPad Pro because the battery never achieved a battery health > 97% after several weeks of using it. My new M2 Pro has a similar problem. Seems like most users are having similar experiences with the iPad battery. My current battery was made on 8.1.22 and both were made by Sunwoda. My iPhone 14 Pro Max over a 2 month period is still showing over 100% battery health. The battery was made by Desay on 9.5.22. I am using a combination of iMazing and Coconut Battery. Seems like the QC on the iPad is not as a good as the iPhone.
What’s the shortcut? Do you have a link?I found shortcut to directly read out the battery data on the iPad or iPhone. Seems more correct than coconut battery. Battery health is at 100% now. My iPhone shows 88% and 505 loadcycles

Could see this behavior also on my M2 12.9. had 92%. Restarted. 89%. Restarted 91%…. Strange isn’t it?Mine was 96% out of the box and I have another « issue » with the battery of my M2 iPad. I am happy if I could helpI appreciate sharing this! This is very helpful!
Batteries work in real-time, this is why Apple gives the average battery health and not the live battery health that Coconut does. Your battery will fluctuate hundreds of times a day depending on what is being done to the battery, e.g., standby, charging, heavy use, temperature, etc.Strange on Friday the battery health was 99,6% and now it’s 98,9%. Best explanation about the battery...makes perfect sense....thanks Mirollin91 for sharing your thoughts!Batteries work in real-time, this is why Apple gives the average battery health and not the live battery health that Coconut does. As long as the battery remains above 80% prior to hitting 1000 cycles, your battery is fine. Battery health is not linear either. It may drop to 85% after 100 cycles and remain there for 750 more cycles.
Everyone here already understands that. There's really no perfectly accurate method to measure battery health
