Just saw it, does it mean that the phone isnt fully charging and that a firmware would make it fully charge?!

reading the story and clicking on the links http://www.wirelessinfo.com/content/Apple-says-iPhone-battery-issue-is-a-bug.htm
there says that apple says the batteries are fully charged, just not reporting it properly - however the other site is still thinking it may be a conditioning issue as well? Read everything you see![]()
That still doesn't answer the problem of people having bad battery life. Unless they need to condition it or something.
Well, mine is now fully charged and there is no glow, people with normal battery life, do you all get the glow?
I just got my 10% battery life warning. I was fully charged, seen the plug symbol and think I had the glow. I'm currently at 6 hours of usage and 2 days And seven hours of stand by. I had about 1 hour of talk time and the majority of the rest was Internet use on edge. I think my phone is going to die soon so I'm going to end This now l. Is this a good battery? Wifi and bluetooth was off the whole time and i did not plug it into anything since the last full charge.
I've always thought my battery was weak, and today i ran my own testing. After a full wall charge, my iPhone had a 17 hour standby time and four and half hours of usage. My bluetooth is off and my screen brightness is about halfway. So im just curious, am i paranoid or should my battery stats be better if not much better? Thanks!
I'm actually having the same results with my battery life. Four and a half hours of usage (mixed usage: internet, calls, text, ipod, etc.). I also have the wifi turned off but the brightness at full. I've gone through about 4-5 full charges, have the glowing battery in the morning, etc.
I thought that this was way below the expected battery life so I returned two other previous phones with similar battery lives. Given the battery lives of other users it seems rather short.
I went to the apple store during my lunch today and told them about my battery life as explained above. The Genius that was helping me told me the could send it in... and that turnovers were rather quick for the iphone... I asked him about a replacement and he said that their replacment policy was for phones within the first 15 days of activation. After a little bit he came around and swapped mine out for a new one!
I guess the point of my story is that 17 hours of standby time and 4 hours of use is well below the expect performance of the iphones battery. I would go visit your stores rather soon. espically if you fall within the first 15 days of activation! Hope this helps.
