I have the V30, I easily exceed 10 hours.
A year ago my V20, on release, was also great on battery. Four months later, not so much. Six months later, battery life was crap. By the time I got rid of it, last month, I couldn't even make it through half a day on one battery (thankfully I had a spare battery). Never again.

Not bad at all! I’m a freak for efficiency so I have many things turned off. Background app refresh, location services, etc. But still!

I received an app update from NYTimes today fixing an issue with battery usage on X and plus models. I bet there are dozens of other apps that cause battery problems but the developers won't admit it.

Idk, when I bought my iPhone SE, I thought it had the best battery life ever, lasted me 2 days on standby with moderate used. Now It’s nowhere as good

No crap battery life is gonna be great on the new device, but what will happen after next year or 2.

Tell me in 2 years if it’s still great, that’s when people should judge how great battery life is for the X.

In a year the phone will be throttled by the OS to mask the battery deficiencies.

That’s bull. Most people will swap phones in under 2 years. The most important time is the first 12-18 months. An 18 month old battery will degrade just sitting on a shelf, so judging a phone after 2 years isn’t fair.
