Hi, I'm testing my brand new Iphone XR and am not impressed by screen on time.
I'm on the latest IOS which I understand might have issues with battery draining so I suppose my findings might improve in the future with OS updates.
Screen on time likely 4hours and the screen between 20% and 70% brightness throughout with average at 33%.
I took it off the charger at 100% yesterday at noon and it lasted until 7pm today.
I turned it off at 2am and on again at 8am today.
Please note I haven't played any game nor used youtube, kept airplane mode on 50% of the time and background apps disabled, bluetooth disabled. Mobile data and Wifi enabled, location enabled.
I've spent the full day today taking occasional pictures and videos.
Does a day and a half of light use with nights off seem reasonable on 12.1.4?
I've also noticed in past days that playing games no matter how dim the display it eats battery noticeably.
It seems to me the momentum found online praising the IphoneXR for its battery life might not fully reflect findings by some people, including myself, but I'm happy to be proven wrong
