sometimes yes, but it really does depend on what I’m doing. On a average day, browsing the internet, messaging, Facebook, bit of YouTube etc it’ll do 6 hours+ to empty if I were to need it to. If I do something cpu intensive like playing a game (not something I do every day), it might only get 4-5 hours then I guess. Mines Quite good overall considering the battery condition, but then again it was doing about 8-10 hours usage from a full charge 3 years ago on ios10 when new.
Cool thank you. That looks like about the same usage I can get right now with my 7 on 12.4.1. Could you do me one more favor if it’s not too much trouble?

Could you screenshot your iPhone home screen with battery percentage on before you go to bed then screen shot it again when you wake up to see how much % you lose overnight? Preferably with less than 80% battery to start? I’m really curious if it’s about the same drainage as iOS 12. Thank you!

I had a lot of battery problems on my 7+ until 13.1.3 which seems to have fixed the problems. I was losing 10% overnight with the phone not in use and this was on a new battery.

That’s great to hear! How much are you losing now overnight for an 8-10hr period under 13.1.3?

Yeah my iPhone 7 used to lose about 2% over night on standby when I first got it 3 years ago on IOS10.

I got my battery replaced before the iOS 13 upgrade and it got better. Then 13 made it worse but it's decent now. I just hope that it stays this way. The only other major issue I have at the moment is Notes syncing.

I’ll try and leave it on standby one of the nights when I know I can charge it during the daytime if it’s low, but usually I turn it off and charge it up while I’m in bed sleeping.
Im gunna estimate it’ll lose at least 5% over night on this IOS version , going by how much it loses if I leave it sitting on a table here for a few hours during the daytime.

About 2%. I find that acceptible.
Yeah that’s awesome! And that’s on the plus model which sounds great! I’m happy with losing 5-7% with my regular 7. It’s been that way from iOS 10-12.4.1. I’m still a little worried to update to iOS 13 though and I still think I’m going to sit tight till at least 13.2 to be sure. You aren’t experiencing any heat up with the processor out of the ordinary compared to iOS 12.4.1 either? When I updated to the GM of 13 my phone got so hot I downgraded a couple days later.

I had heat issues in the 13s before 13.1.3. I suspect it was related to call services as I did not have any battery issues with my iPad Mini 5 after upgrading.

I upgraded to 13.1.3 and about the same time switched from T-Mobile to Verizon. Suddenly my battery seems to be back to iOS 12 lifespan.

I bet it the move to 13.1.3 is what fixed it. I did the update via iTunes so maybe that had something to do with it.

There’s a slim chance that changing carriers reset some buggy network setting too.

YMMV

I have an iPhone 7 running 13.1.3 and it has never been worse. My phone gets hot as does the OEM charger?? My "Health" app is draining my battery even when not running in the background. The issue started on the 17th when I updated and since then my apple watch has not been able to sync steps etc to the app, the last sync was on the 17th. I have tried a number methods to achieve a sync without success. I re-paired my watch and completed a hard reset on both the watch and iPhone, now it is also very slow to charge...

P.S. I forgot to mention, last night while using my phone it decided to turn itself off, black screen with the apple logo, weird but scary! Hasn't happened since...

One of the things that it could be related to is network or the at&t carrier ( have four bars at home all the time).
Call is what drains the battery the most, safari second.
Yesterday I got a notification about carrier update, I just pressed ok. Not sure if this will help but I believe that are other things related for the battery to drain faster with the IOS13.1.3.
I also called apple and they run a remote test on my phone, everything was ok according to the three tests they run.
They suggested me to do a restore which I have done weeks ago but i didn’t fix anything.
I look at the battery chart and activities and it looks fine, I don’t see anything abnormal.
Still not sure what else to do.
Close to tape a battery pack on the back of this phone, really.

Hmm. This is why I remain on 12.4.1. For some people things are fine. For others there are weird bugs and still battery drain. I don’t want to find out if I’m going to be one of the others! At least not yet. They should have things tidied up by 13.3.

I assumed that Apple would get 13 right as they got 12 right. I guess it will be a different story next year.

it is a shame. They did such a good job with iOS 12 but iOS 13 under delivers on so many fronts. I had the GM on my SE with 100 percent battery health and it was horrible. Unfortunately I'm stuck on iPad OS 13 on my iPad Pro, battery run time is terrible on that as well.

Yeah it’s a bummer. I updated on day one to iOS 12 and never had a problem. iOS 11 I waited until 11.2 and it was fine for me. Over in the beta thread it still looks like there are major bugs with 13.2 so my hope is for 13.3 to be up to par.
