Did anyone encountering the issue tried downgrading to 3.1.2? Did it solve the issue?

I upgraded to 3.1.3 and I don't find any battery issues with my 3GS. Maybe I'm in luck as the meter seems more accurate now.

Battery life seems better to me in 3.1.3

I rarely have problems with it running out as I have a dock at work and a dock in the car so only noticed on my day off... usually I have to charge it by about 7pm but since the update it goes until the next morning at which point I'm putting it in the car dock...

From doing my own searches around the web and this forum - it looks like the 3G owners are seeing poor battery life, while 3GS owners are happy with it.

Ha, my battery shows a 3% difference. I really don't care though, I'd rather stay w/ the difference compared to dealing w/ trying to update to 3.1.3

Tried to do a screenshot, but the pcs at work are horrible, lol

I did that yesterday--the prescribed method as far as I know is just to run the battery down until the phone shuts off, then charge it up to 100 percent. Someone here suggested to leave it charging for another two hours or so--I did that too. I can't say as I notice a difference today but for me, it does seem the update has led to more accurate readings. Apple does recommend you do this kind of full charge about once a month.
