Holy sweet mother of jesus (lol), I was about to buy a regular macbook and a gaming rig for the price of a macbook pro...really dunno what to do now!

Is it really easy to install, games? Will things like counter strike source work too?

(thank god for google.com!)

The MBP runs games in Windows (with Boot Camp installation) with absolutely no problems whatsoever.

I would buy the MBP if it really does come close to the same prices as the systems that you are looking at.

You are just installing them in Windows, no difference at all. Cept for the part where Windows is just a big pain in the ass in general.

Cheers dood! Excited now! :)

I've gotta go for base though...128mb GPU, 512mb ram, I understand ram will need upping, but is that spec ok for gaming?

I have a 1.83/128MB VRAM/1GB RAM MBP and it runs BF2 fine.

Boot camp over parallels

Normally I would say Parallels trumps Boot Camp, but I could not get BF2 to run on Parallels , I kept getting "please insert intallation disc" errors when I tried to PLAY. Tried NO CD patch, and burnibg and ISO and mounting it with Daemon tools..even mounting the origianl disc...no go

Installed boot camp...works like a charm..sec! INCOMING!!

Im having no luck with BF2 myself, I can start the game and begin loading a map, but during the "Verifying client data" bit, I get a blue error screen and my system restarts.

Now ive recently been thinking that this is down to me running the latest 1.4 patch for BF2, It obviously works with older ones so it seems lik something I will definately try.

My system specs are as follows:

iMac 24"
2.33ghz Core 2 Duo
1GB RAM
256mb 7600GT
250Gb HD

Definately specced up enough to run it, also are there any additional drivers I should be downloading for my GFX card, it only crashes when the actual game begins so it points toward a graphical problem.

Any help will be much appreciated,

Thankyou.
