Regarding the Bose, they do have a small clip for the back of your shirt. I take mine out and leave them dangling around my neck not worried about losing them.

Just make sure to use the Bose Connect app to disable the voice prompts. That voice drove me nuts, and iOS gives you battery life remaining anyway o_O

The Bose connect app was a surprise feature and it really works well. I’ve never had any issues with Bluetooth pairing. It even amazes me people find it a problem. When I received mine I was not even going to use, but then downloaded. It’s also nice when you have more than two devices and want a quick switch. Apples’s AirPod Solution is slick, but find Bose’s even more than I personally would need. So it was a great little extra. The clip is a great little touch to as it is simple and gives a extra layer of security. For many audio quality is not their prime objective, Apple should really snatch some of there engineers and make that a bigger priority. When I was shopping and trying them all out I thought the last one I end up with were the SoundSports.

Alright guys.. so the bose soundsports are finally on sale at Best Buy, but I still don't know which one to get between those, the beats X and airpods.. lol. One of my friends has the beats X and loves them, but the soundsport at a lower price now is tempting..

Same, those were my three options. I ended up getting the beats x, however if I don't like them (they are arriving Wednesday), I will end up purchasing the sound sport wirlesss. The main reason why I chose beats x over bose soundsport is because of beats fast charge, and cnet rated them both having the same sound quality as in ratings (both an 8/10). If you do end up purchasing the bose, tell me how they are. I'm going to check out my local Best Buy and see if they have those on display.
Do you think the sound sport are better as in sound quality?

I just got some Beats X today and quickly threw them in for a sound check... I almost cried with disappointment, they sounded awful, no bass, very light and tinny... a little messing with different sized buds and getting the correct fit changed everything... I'm blown away. The sound is crystal clear, the bass is strong but not over powering. The fit is snug and comfortable... Pairing is easy as ever... I paired once with my iPhone and my MacBook automatically picked them up too... I'm assuming the iPad will do the same.

The cable is no longer an issue, there are too many positives to care.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other in-ear buds to compare with but overall very happy.

Yea, for me none of the ear buds feel comfortable except for the ones that came with the product. Mine never connected to my Mac, had to do it as a normal Bluetooth headphone. The sound quality is not bad, one thing I'm not a fan of the noise cancellation, even though it's not its intention. Overall I love it, just wish the cord wasn't so long

I’ve had the AirPods and PowerBeats 3 for a few months and I just picked up the Beats X last week. It’s a bit excessive, but I use the Powerbeats for the gym, the Beats X for music or for when I’m somewhere loud when I’m on the go and the AirPods for everything else. If I had to choose one, I’d go with the AirPods. While they leave a lot to be desired in sound quality for music and are useless in loud environments, they’re extremely portable and convenient.

I'm in the market for wireless headphones but keep going back between these three but am unsure of which one to get. And because they are in the same price range between $150-160 it makes it even harder.

I wouldn't mind AirPods because I have no issue with them fitting in my ear, but the thing is using Siri to control music, volume, etc is why I haven't jumped at them yet. The W1 chip on these & beats X is very appealing though, especially since I do use a few different apple products on a day to day basis sometimes.

Beats X - I've been seeing good reviews on, and the fast charge is very appealing, however that long neck cable is what I'm questioning. Is it too long and does it get cumbersome after awhile?

Bose SoundSport - I currently have the wired version now and if they made the ear piece of the wireless ones the same shape as the wired ones, I'd be sold. I love the sound quality of them and at first these were the only ones I've been eyeing, but since the Airpods and Beats X came along, I've been back and forth between these three. I like the look of the wireless version, however, the ear piece is big and looks like it sticks out a ton. I do have small ears so that probably won't look the best.

Which one do you guys feel has been the best headphones out of these three so far?

I recently bought Beats X from BestBuy, I loved everything about it (sound, connecting process and lasting battery power). The only problem is that it stopped working after 3 months, when I try to turn it on it blinked red light 3 times and shut itself off. I thought it was a software problem, I googled it and I found many other users are having the same issues. Since it's past three months I cant return it nor the BestBuy will fix it for me. So, I decided to fix it myself and I found out that one of the wire is disconnected from the power button (the side where it rest on your neck). Of course we frequently bundle it up and twist it around while using and putting it away. I think the wire inside of cable is too tight from one end to the other end and the glue stop holding it together as time goes by. I felt like I spent $150 for 3 months lasting great headphone. I loved it but it didn't last long enough and I am not satisfied. I am debating if I should get it again or switch to Bose product because I need one eventually.

I've tried a half dozen IEMs over the years, including the BeatsX (which my wife owns) and the Bose Soundsport. Without fail, none of them have fit me properly, except the earpods. It's almost as if they were custom made for my ears. So, I ended up trading in the Bose for the AirPods. No regrets, but they aren't particularly exciting sound-wise. I prefer having a cable so I can wrap them around my neck, but they are easy enough to slip in my pocket. Also, the mic quality seems better than the other two, or at least, I got less complaints when I was talking to people on the AirPods than the other two.

Though they’re not out until next month, AirPods and the new beats studio with ANC seem like a great pairing with all the W1 loving.

There isn't a single solution for me.

Airpods are a perfect snug, comfortable fit for me. Their convenience is unbeatable. I use them at home where I still need to interact with my family, quiet walks, quiet commutes, listening or watching while eating, and in the car as my primary phone headset (single bud).

I have multiple wired iem's. I can't stand them while walking, talking, or eating. But in a noisy environment they're my only option.

Full sized headsets will have the best sound, great comfort and provide some isolation. Lots, if noise cancelling. But they get hot and leave me with an unworkable, sweaty dent in my hair if I'm using them out of the house.

Great options, but no single solution.

I'm debating between the Airpods and the Bose Soundsport Wireless. I'm curious how pairing and iOS integration are with the Bose - are you missing out on any ease or features you get with the Airpods?

The reason I like the Bose is I've never been a big fan of EarPod sound quality.

Pairing with the bose is like any regular bluetooth buds, enter pairing mode manually and go to the bluetooth settings to pair. If you want to connect to multiple devices (i.e. laptop, iPad, iPhone, etc) you will need to manually connect via BT settings. Airpods will auto sync across all devices and become a sound output option via the control center without digging through the BT menu.

The other thing to note is there is a more pronounced audio delay with the bose when watching video

Also you can pair through the Bose connect app, It will set auto connect to multiple devices and also does software updates. You can also stream audio to two pairs of headphones at the same time. I've experienced no delay with video. The SoundSports will also show as a sound option in control center. There is also a find my buds feature.(only for the wireless version though)

The way AirPods pair are one of the best features. But if you are more inclined to audio quality they are a compromise. Bose connect app though not as slick does a lot of the connection and other functions in a different way. It is better than manual set up. AirPods are better on calls and battery life. But the audio quality is AirPods weak point. It's why I returned them. In my case the Bose fit better and more secure as well.

Just purchased some BeatsX as they were on offer (nearly £30 off). Was expecting the sound quality to be better than it is. They are ok but maybe I need to play around with the different tips. I was hoping for a little more base like Beats normally are.
