Does the LED light on yours ever flash? I purchased two for my bed stand (and my wife’s) and every time I lay the phone on the charger it starts charging perfectly.

But sometimes in the middle of the night when I wake up to go to the restroom I notice one of the lights is flashing. I pick the phone up (place it back down) and it starts working perfectly again with a solid LED light.

According to Mophie’s website it starts flashing once it detects a metal/foreign object? But I obviously don’t have a metal foreign object on there so I’m a bit perplexed.
I would get it exchanged. Something doesn't seem right.

I have the Belkin and it's been rock solid. Steady green light all night.

As a comparison, I also bought the Choetech Circle Qi - it's around $12 and seems to work just as well. The only thing is it will not do 7.5W charging, only the standard 5W. So if you use a 12W wall power supply to compensate for the losses, you'll get about the same charge rate as the Apple-supplied 5W charger, but no faster. The Belkin will do 7.5W charging (once Apple updates the software).

Well, I have two and they’re both doing it intermittently. The only thing I can think of is both of our watch chargers are about an inch away, which could be effecting it?

No way I got two defective units.

I would definitely move any other chargers away and isolate one of them to test it. The magnetic field from one charger can have an effect on other chargers close by. An inch is very close.

Doesnt seem worth the money for these products
just because Apple is getting a kick back to promote and sell these items in their store.

Are they better because apple says so?

There is nothing special about these vs all the other ones out there.
The huge power bricks as well are not nice.
The YouTube videos all seem to lean towards the mophie as it has a smaller footprint, heavier and feels of higher quality. The Belkin, even more $, larger footprint on your desk but still has the small center area that phone has to be positioned on to work. What's the sense of having a larger table if u still have a small area in the middle to work with. In my experience, I like the angled ones better as u can pop on phone and r not searching moving phone around flat pad to link up. I see no benefit with the flat table top charges.
I think the best one with high quality right now is the Samsung , pleather coated one that can be flat or angled. U can get on amazon warehouse in like new condition for $45.
I have last years model n it works with every case I threw at it.

Not to forget that it also has a fan to keep cool as heat and electronics don't mix.

I have one of each and I find the Belkin to be easy to tip and lighter the Mophie is a dense little thing that tends to stay put with a longer cord. Here are two docks I made for them the vertical is for my shop and the horizontal is for my blind wife
