Yep. My point is people here is blaming Belkin for bad quality but Apple thinks they are a reliable partner.
i think I will buy Belkin in the future anyway.
Same here - oh, lest people forget - Apple has had some recalls due to Li-ion battery fire hazards:

And the infamous Samsung Galaxy Note:

But I heard that the watch charging is not as fast as in that Belkin (I have an AWU2). The spec says up to 5W for the watch but apparently in reality it gives 1-2W output. I've seen many videos on YT and this small display always shows ~1W when any Apple watch is charging. Can you confirm?
Even I heard about this power bank- this is the only few of mfi certified Apple Watch built in power banks that have fast charging capabilities certified by Apple. Thank goodness i did not go ahead and buy it, I was looking for a replacement to my old Apple Watch charger that I needed for travel and long days at work. Will have to check other options or use a keychain charger to plug into my power bank or computer.

I owned handfuls of lightning cables from Belkin, my last one still works fine after owning it for a year. I do not get it for why they did not catch this issue through their own safety testing- they sell their products at Apple Stores and various tech stores.

I hope they release a 2.0 at some point. The Anker is ok — still evaluating it to make sure there’s no charging issues — but the form factor is clunky. Way too thick. I’m on the fence with the integrated USB cable that doubles as a carrying handle, though it is ingenious.

They also specialize in various foldable MagSafe docks for your iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods. They are also thicker than Apple’s MagSafe duo of the past and their MagSafe cube is so big and larger than a regular MagSafe stand. I do understand their power banks are still bulky yet a bit less expensive than belkin, but the integrated usb cable is a plus for portability. If I am worried about using integrated USB cables on power banks or adapters I would get a keychain or short cable for my Apple Watch when I am on the go.

I had no idea about this recall until the day this article came out and I read it. On November 23 I filled out the forum. I never heard anything back. I have tried the past 2 days to contact their support and I never get through. I sent a message to the US Consumer Products Safety Commission stating that I would like to file a formal complaint for noncompliance with the recall.

Oh wow! I haven’t filled it out yet.

I’d rather grab an under $15 keychain Apple Watch charging puck if I need to charge my Watch at work and during long trips. This one’s not USB C and is $6 only.

I can also use the same power bank i charge my iPhone with and I am comfortable using.

If it's not USB C, I'd be very surprised if it does fast charging. Hence I question its ability to "charge my Watch in a hurry."
