For those of you using the iPad 1 dock with the iPad 2 + this case: the iPad 2 fits on the dock and is recognized on the computer, but you have to carefully make sure the alignment is OK. There are many ways the iPad 2 can sit on the dock where the computer may not recognize it.

Once again, it works, but placing the iPad 2 on the dock is not as quick and painless.

I have no problems whatsoever with the smart cover.

I have the case that does full coverage - not the etched logo.

Picked up the "smoke black" from J&R. It has full coverage, and aside from the color, seems the same as the reported clear ones. The logo is printed, but because of the darker color of the cover, is only prominent from certain angles. The rubber-like texture makes it a little easier to grip the iPad. Feels solid and works well with the Smart Cover. Very happy with it!

The contrast of the silver and black look nice. Now I don't know what one I would rather have. The closest best buy sold out which was not selling the full coverage, I was hoping when they restocked it would be with the full, but not so much.

Well, J&R still only has the "smoke" in stock, the clear one is on pre-order with no indication of an arrival date. So if you buy from them, and don't want to wait, you have no choice but to go with the "smoke." Oh, and if anyone in the NY area is thinking of going there to pick one up, you need to call in for in-store pickup ahead of time, they don't have it out on display.

I think that looks really smart!

great choice. looking forward to seeing what the black one I bought on sale on amazon looks like in comparison to the Belkin.

Acase on Sale @ Amazon similar to Belkin-Not as much Coverage

Its certainly OK for 7 bucks, as you can see it does leave the anntenna and a portion where smart cover attaches exposed.

It is also lighter than the Belkin.

I have a Wrapsol on mine so this really doesn't concern me but for others it may be a deal breaker.

I still think the Belkin is the best one currently out there!

In my quest to find the perfect case, I ordered the Dodo case and then picked up the Belkin snap case last week at my local Best Buy. I was planning on using both cases depending on my needs but when I removed the snap case this afternoon (my dodo case arrived 1 week early!), it cracked in the corner! I'm very sad because this snap case is awesome. I just wanted to report my issue so others would be aware to be CAREFUL when removing it. So sad!

get one, I would be interested in hearing about it!

I may buy one if I can find it at Target. I'm not going to order one off line and have to ship it back if I don't like it. If you look at the clear one, it looks like it is the most full coverage of any. Plastic even goes around the buttons, not just openings. Only thing it does not cover is the speaker as some cases now have a grid over them. Wonder how soft these are? I do not like the idea of a hard plastic as they scratch too much. Don't know about the magnet or whatever that is on the back as well. Looks like it goes over the bezel as well. Wonder how that affects screen protectors, tough to get on, off? Hopefully we see a review soon.

finally got around to taking some photos of my setup. Ignore the smudges. ;) I love how it looks and everything fits perfectly. :apple: my skin is by iCarbons (highly recommended).

The wording of the details makes me think it's a magnet to hold the smart over when folded back.

Yes!! It cracked in the corner when I was removing it gently! It's a great case though. I just got it last Thursday so I'm having another shipped to Best Buy so I can exchange it. $40 case should last longer than 3 days.

thats what it is, I like this but I am cased out at this point, I would have to get another ipad if I got anymore cases!

Looking forward to hearing some reviews on this. Especially interested in hearing how easily the cover comes off.

Some PR type at gleemobile is telling me a) they're going to be one of the first ones to get the speck case, b) speck has already missed one ship date, and c) they expect to get them by the end of the third week of may.

Available on Speck's website right now. More pictures up too. Looks like they may have nailed the area where the hinge goes. I do not see any of the back of the iPad. Wish they showed a front picture.

Any else that has a full coverage one notice imperfections in the smoothness of the cuts? I have purchased 2 separate ones now, from best buys 1000 miles apart, and both of them have rough, not level cuts about half way up the hinge side as well as the volume button side. One is worse then the other. I'm not being picky here, these are vary noticeable, especially since it is $40. Very disappointed in the quality Belkin is producing for this case.

I have had both the full and partial coverage versions. The feel of the full coverage is not nearly as refined as the partial one. That, along with the less visible logo almost makes me want to prefer the less coverage one. The finish on it is much better. The lack of coverage doesn't bother me much as i mostly just want something for when I set it down.

Still deciding which to keep.

I have had both too, and agree 100%. But I want full coverage. It amazes me that for $29.99 or $39.99, depending on where you purchase, that the full coverage case is sold in this condition.

Do you notice any imperfections on the edges of the smoke case? Both clear ones I have purchased at different best buys have rough or uneven cuts along the side edges about half way up (one on the hinge side, and one on the volume button side). Others have reported this as well.

I took a close look at the edges after seeing your posts, and there's very slight unevenness, but nothing I'm bothered by, and I doubt I'd have noticed it if it hadn't been for your posts. It certainly doesn't FEEL rough at all.

Sorry that you're having trouble with yours, but I'm perfectly happy with mine.

Just got my Belkin Snap Case for the iPad 2

Hi

Just put my Belkin Snap case on and it's great!

Gives it great protection, feels great and doesn't add much thickness.

Had trouble tracking it down in the UK but got some in the end.

Think there are some appearing on eBay UK now.

Regards

Mike
