sorry for the confusion... the 44 secs was for the single thread test... I forgot about the multi-thread one :p

Test 1: Single thread test: 44 secs (not too bad for a decrepit G4 right?)

Test 2: Multi thread test (more accurate): 182 secs

everyone laugh at the slow 800 MHz G4 :rolleyes:

64-bit
1) 18 seconds
2) 94 seconds

32-bit
1) 15 seconds
2) 73 seconds

anyone want to explain these results to me? ie why is the 32-bit result faster than the 64-bit result???
