A secondhand already damaged product is not something apple gets involved with, as far as I’m aware of. If the OP had bought it from apple then the OOW repair would have been the case.

Doesn't matter where you buy it. Apple will cover it under OOW as long as it contains all original parts and hasn't been tampered with. Thats why its called out of warranty.

If it’s bent then it has been tampered with and is damaged. If the item is not damaged then the situation is different.

I don’t think you understand the point of the OOW. It is for damaged devices. Your iPhone can be ran over by a car and shattered beyond repair and they will still replace it. Tampered means opened up, parts removed and so forth. A bent phone is without a doubt covered by OOW.

According to Apple’s repair guide, bent is covered under OOW.

Proof or delete your post, honestly. There's an extremely big difference between aluminum and steel. This just feels like paranoia leaking from the iPad forums.
