I just got my 11" TrimSleeve for the MBA 11", i really like this case.

But it doesn't fit! It seems like it may be a defect, as BizProf has the same problem.

Just got the Incase perforated case for my MBA 11 from Tekserve. Like the fact that the bottom of the laptop isn't cutting my wrists. Don't like the fact that the top clicks off when i open up the laptop. But its a keeper.

Sorry to see you had the identical problem. According to the Speck CS rep, "some" of the sleeves may have fit issues. They suggested waiting a couple of weeks to see if break-in helps, but, for me, it didn't seem that it would -- so I returned it to Amazon as a defective product. Speck did eventually offer to do a warranty/exchange, but it would've taken too long (and cost me return shipping).

Again, responsive and courteous customer service -- but ultimately a little disappointing. Best of luck, whatever route you decide to take...

I really like the case too, but unfortunately i will return as well to Amazon. This is actually my 3rd issue with Speck, 2 earlier issues with iPhone 4 Cases that had the flash problem.

BTW, what case did you get instead?

If I could have been guaranteed a properly fitting Trimsleeve, I would have ordered another. However, as I was a bit pressed for time, I went a different direction and went with the Brenthaven Prostyle, for now. Relatively bulky, of course, but still nice for a padded/zippered sleeve.

Compared to which laptop?

What do you mean?

Compared to it naked. The side right below the track pad was really sharp and cut into my hands when i had the laptop on anything besides a table. Now the case covers the sharp part and is a lot easier on the wrists.

There is bracket right above the camera that tends to click away from the laptop when i first open it. So to bypass that i open it from the corner.

That's not very good customer service. They sold a defective product and expect you to pay for the return. Please. I'll avoid Speck products. Their stuff doesn't look that great anyways.

They actually understand the problem now, the customer service guy didnt believe me, but he reached out to the Dev team. They are shipping me a free one that should fix the problem, ill let you guys know once i receive it.

Good for you! Did you have to return the defective one? Wish I had gotten the same service! Oh well, being an early adopter has it's drawbacks, I suppose

Yeah i returned the one from Amazon, i told them i would repurchase one once they could guarantee that it was fixed, but they just gave it to me for free.

So my sleeve came and I've used it for a day or so. It's not bad. It's definitely pretty cheap stiff leather, but it is $20 dollars. The sleeve is really light (lighter than I thought it would be), it's extremely thin, and fits the Air very well. It's snug, but it's not so tight that it's difficult to slide in/out. There's plenty of "breathing room." It also provides a really firm grip because, unlike neoprene material, it doesn't "ripple" when you're carrying it. The leather is quite sturdy and stiff.

My only complaint is the magnetic clasp. It's a little weak for my taste. A slight flick will separate it, but unless you're holding the sleeve upside down, the flap won't actually open so it isn't that big of a problem. Just a personal complaint. And if it's in a bag, it's not a problem at all. EDIT: The magnetic clasp is actually fantastic. I realized it just wasn't going into the magnetic hole. Once aligned properly, the magnet is quite strong. I didn't realize I could slide my Air in a little bit more. So there you go.

Well, hope that helps anyone who was considering it. It's a great value sleeve, and it gets the job done. Despite the cheap looking leather it's a good sleeve.

Just got my stm xs case and it is really a sweet little bag. it is form fitting and thin but with a wide front pocket that can fit the power cord and such as well as a smaller angled pocket which can hold a phone or the like. it has a built in carry handle on the end and a removable cary strap.
love this case!
found some good pics on the web.

very simple and easy to put on the little mba. like that it has that little flap to protect it from the zipper

I finally got the Brenthaven sleeve today, and am very happy with it. Now I've got my eyes on a bag to pack and travel with, but I need to save some more money first. :p

WOAH! Dude, I was seriously worried that with all the previous bags, cases, and sleeves (besides the Booq) that the Man-Purse, or murse was making a BIG comeback in such a horrible way. THIS my friend had killed those worries for good. Manly, stylish, elegant yet professional esthetic just in its design and choice of material. I'll be purchasing this in a 3wk time period with the Booq for when I travel and I must say in the north I cannot wait to find a matching Roots or similar vintage leather jacket to match.

Thank you!!

I looked several cases and decided on this one, simply because of the nice design and price. Sure, there are some very high prices cases that are extremely stylish, but this Targus one serves the purpose of protecting my MacBook Air when it’s just lying around the house, or when I want to take my Air with me without using the larger carrying bag. I always wanted a side pocket for one or two peripherals, and this one works fine. It’s about in inch larger than my 11” Air, but I didn’t want a tight fitting case that would make it difficult to put netbook in and take out.

I've also ordered this sleeve. Looks very functional, though not an eye catcher.

Just ordered this in black off amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005DDASOC/ref=oss_product

Looks really nice, is cheap, and should offer protection from scratches when in another bag which is why I chose it.

I'l let you know once I've tried it! :D
