I've used Adblock Plus for quite some time now and really enjoy it.

Ever since I updated to Safari 13 on High Sierra, my Macbook Pro's fans are in overdrive whenever I visit Twitter or Google Voice while using Adblock, Ghostery Lite, same thing, anyone know why this is happening and which blocker can avoid this side effect?

I've never used those ad blockers so I can't really say. I just tested Twitter on Firefox with uBlock Origin it doesn't seem to cause my fan to ramp up at all. The only thing that has ever made my fan ramp up or CPU temp to go up is playing 4k video on YouTube but I suspect that has nothing to do with the ad blocker but just playing the video.
