I like Firefox better, lot's of plugins and customizations available. I use Safari as a backup for some pages that won't render well in FF.

Also have tried Opera but not completely convinced...

I'm sticking to FF in my MB C2D :apple:

Well, unfortunately there is no ultimate solution, at least not for me.

Safari is nicely integrated with the system and pretty fast, but that's about it, i miss some advanced features and expandability.

Firefox has a ton of expansions (can't live without AdBlock, Firebug and others) and great customizability (like removing close buttons i always hit from tabs), but is slower than others. FF3 is looking good though.

Camino is somewhere in between these two, last time i remember using it i quit because i couldn't close tabs with middle click and I also can't figure why they don't work on one browser with firefox developers.

Opera is lightning fast and also quite stable, but has a terrible terrible interface, I also miss some expansions.

i like safari more than firefox for regular browsing, if you're using a lot of open windows and downloading multiple files simultaneously, firefox seems a lot less prone to crashing from my experience.

Firefox, nothing better for casually browsing the web.

(Safari seems sluggish for me)

Used to be a big firefox user with Windows. As soon as I got my MacBook firefox went on. Although I started to find that Firefox was slow to startup and very resource hungry and even the interface felt sluggish.

I gave Safari a go and haven't looked back. Much quicker and just feels solid, unlike Firefox.

I used FireFox on Windows for a long time, and I used it on Mac up until I got Leopard. When I switched, and Firefox started looking weird, I tried Safari and I'm loving it. If you use toolbars, use Firefox, if you don't, Safari is awesome. I would say try Safari, and if not... try Opera.

I use Safari for general browsing, Firefox when I want addons and Opera when I want torrent.
