Best buy and new apple tv

Yep - I'm waiting, too. The only reason why I'm not getting it from Apple is that I have some rewards $$ and a credit card reward gift card to spend, which would cut the price down a lot. It seems like the actual BB site still has the prior one...dumb.
Yes they will. My BB is one with an Apple store (or whatever they call it) in it and their Apple guru is actually an Apple employee rather than a BB employee...anyway he told me a couple of weeks ago that they should be in before the end of the month or shortly there after. I'm still undecided if I should get one or not.
...kindof a bump, but I checked a number of Best Buy stores in the Indianapolis area over the past few weeks and the one store that did have an Apple employee kept saying that he could only guess and estimated when Apple got the ship dates down to 1-3 days. We've hit that and still nothing. One store tried to talk me into a prior generation model for $150...it's "better" because it has a hard drive and is made out of aluminum. 
I know Apple underestimated how well these were going to sell, but it's already almost November and nobody at Best Buy can even give me a real estimate.

About 3 weeks ago I asked at the local Best Buy (Ky area close to cincy) and was told there were not going to carry it.
So i just bought mine through the apple website.
I wish Apple would team up with another store, i do not think that BB is very good Apple advocate.
No kidding. The last time I checked my local Best Buy still didn't have iPads. I don't even consider them any more for Apple products.
I had the same question and called best buy and they said they will have new apple tv in next 2-3 weeks.

Best Buy Canada has them listed but on backorder
I've been waiting and waiting also for Best Buy to get the new Apple TV. Employees I've asked said probably. I check the BB website everyday and all they have are refurbs of the old model it seems. But I did a Google search the other day and for some reason it gave me a link to Best Buy Canada and the new Apple TV was actually listed on their site; it was on backorder but at least they had it on their site.
I have no idea if that means BB in the US will carry it but it seems like a good omen, no?!

They are going to definately have in US too. The link below shows that Florida Best Buy will have an education session on Nov 17 to explain new apple tv and itunes.

I work at a Best Buy store. Believe me, we're waiting as impatiently as you guys are for the ATV2. In our system, it shows the item as being "deleted." A few weeks ago it was listed on BBY.com, but then it was taken off. I'm not sure what happened or what the current status is... not even the Apple rep for our store knows. If I find out anything, I'll be happy to repost here.
I heard about that - the weird thing is that everyone else seems to have it already (I was in Fry's this afternoon and they had about 15 in stock). While I'm not directing this at you, I find it interesting that Best Buy can get just about everything else on launch day or shortly after and there isn't even an item in the system for "Coming Soon"
Right, I completely understand. I spoke with my supervisor and she said that when the item appears as "deleted" before it has even been released it typically means that Best Buy and the company are in negotiations. I assume this would be about profits. Not sure.
Thanks for the updates! Just out of curiosity, does anyone else following this thread know any other retail stores that carry 'em yet?
Checked the best buy canada site, and now they have it available as well as in few stores ( previously it was showing as 'will ship when available').
Not in US yet though, that's frustrating about best buy US, probably lack of business approach/management. I am sure they are loosing multiple apple tv customers each day they delay.

Florence, KY BB? If so, they are so freakin' clueless about Apple. One guy that has a cane seems pretty knowledgeable, but any time I've asked questions or called, they just read a computer screen.
Yes that is the one and yes the fellow with the cane (wish I knew his name) is the only one there that has any Apple knowledge.
I am going to drive out to Montgomery and check the apple store there for my second one.
