Aye tracee/all let me rant... :mad:

so ordered this on thursday. shipped /track info 30 minutes later for JULY 3rd (today) delivery.

since i was at the office today, i thought to have it shipped there so i can get my grubby paws on the sucker early. smart move right? :rolleyes:

SO, i look at the track info.. and it only showed "destination scan" since saturday. its at the local LA hub but no "out for delivery".

today around 1025am i see an "exception" notice.

Delivery has been rescheduled due to holiday closures.
Exception Resolution: Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day.

HAD i followed my first mind and had the sucker shipped to my place, i would be playing with it now. but oooohhh noooo they (ups) deemed it wise to not deliver because they thought local business in my area would be closed...

mind you i WORK IN HOLLYWOOD at a production facility that never SLEEPS!

i call to setup a will call..

homegirl calls me back states "we can't find your package as its buried under other packages on the pallet"... :mad:

so not only do I have to wait, i have to wait TWO more days until wednesday!!!! :mad:

so im stuck using my trusty old launch day 12.9 pro until then... ugh (first world problems)

pardon me as im going to go outside and kick rocks...:rolleyes:

there are a few in manhattan beach but that's a 2 hour drive round trip in LA traffic (its just 17 miles away.. :rolleyes: )

Ugh. That stinks. I was hoping you were enjoying it already!!

You are still doing better than me - I keep trying the Pencil on my Air1... it still doesn't seem to be doing anything. What the heck is up with that?? I mean, i charged it and everything! LOL

I'm a CA native - I get the traffic thing. All you can do now is enjoy your 4th and get it on Wednesday. Except today would have been better.

I had something coming from Adobe around 10 years ago - I really needed it. They didn't send tracking back then, but I got a phone call from DHL asking me what I wanted them to do with the package. Ummmm, deliver it??

She said we can't.... your house was destroyed in the tornado.

Really? Because i'm talking to you from it.

The driver hadn't even tried, yes the majority of our neighbors lost their homes, but we didn't have any damage. She was amazed the next day when she was here.

Soooooo, toss a tri-tip on the BBQ for me and enjoy it - and Wednesday will be here soon.

did you place your order recently? i think i did mine on friday and it's arriving this friday to the store.

Monday was optimistic. Ups ground from CA to FL... potentially not until next Wednesday. Ugh.

It went in the 14th, it is via the Business/Education department so they march to their own beat it seems. Considering yesterday they told me it wasn't even going to ship until the 14th, I will take this improvement. I wasn't able to pick to send it to the store, nor can I upgrade the shipping. We shall survive!

I went to a store, because their shipping times were better (pick up from the store option), as the shipping time was mid August, and I'm moving, so there isn't a known address where I'll be.

Anyway, I'm expecting it tomorrow in South Carolina. I ordered it on 7/1/17.

Rescheduled for delivery tomorrow, the window is earlier in the day - I wonder if they are putting 2 drivers on our route because of this delay? Hmmm......

At 10:45 this morning it hadn't been rescheduled yet - so I called... tier 1 lady transferred me to a specialist, who had to go find a supervisor. It was very strange and while they were trying to figure it out - it finally updated to today.

This mom has decided her patience is shot! LOL

I know right? It was nuts!!!

I did get it yesterday about 12:30 instead of the normal 4, so that was nice. Still setting it up, darn adulting keeps getting in the way! Lol and this weekend we are going to see friends so I might not get to test all I want to on it. I t]dont think I'm taking it to the beach.

But that remains one of the strangest UPS I've encountered to date.
