Best Buy Open Box, concerned it was heavily used and not a simple return open-box?

I’ve bought Excellent from Best Buy before and was pleased. I‘d shy away from anything lower.

You can get a base model certified refurb for close to that much. If you can ditch it, I would.

A bit gross too? I mean we're in the middle of a pandemic, but even that put aside, I would not want to use that keyboard based on how you describe it. Return, get another one.

I've had really good luck with Best Buy open box items. I bought 2 2020 Airs, 2 different gaming PC's, a S4 44 and a iPad Air last year with some pretty decent discounts, all work great and were mint. The M1 I bought was listed as Satisfactory and it looked brand new with only a few cycles on the battery. You can always inspect the item before you buy it.
