As I mentioned in a previous post, they used to have occasional "take an extra 10% off open box items" coupons but I haven't seen one in quite a while. You can also try to haggle with a manager to knock more off the price, but I've never had luck with that personally.

It never hurts to ask the BB manager to work with you on the price of open box items. The best time for deals on open box items is usually Jan-March because they are more motivated to move last year's models from their store inventory. My 46" Samsung LED HDTV was an BB open box that was significantly reduced below the tagged open box price. I also was able to obtain a 2011 base MM at a significantly lower price than the open box tag showed and received the 10% discount as well but later I ended up returning it since I decided to save my money for a new late 2012 i7 model instead.

How you guys find it at that price I have no idea.
My local BB did not have one and they said if they do it would be just 10% off.
My local Micro Center has one for $495...
With that price, why would one buy the open box ???

Everything at BB is negotiable.

My local Best Buy has an Open Box i7 model. $800 regular price and they have it priced at $760 (Best Buy "Certified"). What are these people smoking? With the 10% off coupon, that only brings it down to $686 (plus tax). I was tempted to drive down there and see if it might be marked down more than what the website shows, but to be honest, I don't really need it, so I don't want to put myself in a position of being tempted. :)

I saw one for $475 at my BB on a 2.5 late 2012 and put the 10% coupon on it. I got it for 428 + tax. It wasn't certified but when I signed in with my account it started the 1 year warranty.
