I just remembered that Best Buy issues 10-12% coupons for Reward Zone members only.

I have had success using these coupons on Apple products before as I've used it once on a Time Capsule, but I was wondering if the coupon will work on an iPad.

I haven't received any coupons yet, but if they can be used, I might as well just wait for one in the mail before getting the iPad. 10% off is an a nice $50 off the $499 model :D

Man, I wish. I haven't received one of those coupons from BB in like a year. Used to get them every 3-5 weeks or so.

Really? I have gotten quite a few over the past few months. Maybe something's up with your reward membership status?

I don't know...I bought a big TV, TiVo's, PS3, hard drives...all kinds of stuff in the past 5 months. I get the RZ coupons for every $250 spent, but not the 12% coupons for a long long time.

This is just a guess but I'd bet bestbuy will not allow the 10-12% coupon on the iPad, product is too new and apple probably told bestbuy not to accept togs coupons on the iPad...

Oh wow, ok nevermind. Sounds like your quite the active member. Silver status too? Anyway, I would probably email them or give them a call and ask them why you haven't received any coupons lately. Memorial Day is coming up, so I would guess BB is bound to send out more coupons soon.

not allow on ipod too!

Do those coupons specifically state that iPods are excluded from the discount? I don't remember as I've never purchased an iPod from BB, but if that's true, then yea, I would assume iPad will be excluded as well. :(

these coupons usually exclude Apple products. says so in the fine print. I'm surprised some got to use them for perpherals.

Read the back. I think it excludes all Apple products among other stuff. If you get Reward Zone certificates, then you're fine to use those. But the 10 percent off stuff is no good for most Apple stuff.

However, they still work for Samsung LED TVs!

The posters that say iPods are excluded are wrong. iPod is specifically mentioned along with MP3 players as a category that is included. With that said, I doubt this will include the iPad, but should be good for Non-Apple iPad accessories. The reason i say Non-Apple is because one of the exclusions is Apple Computing Accessories.

No, definitely not all. Like I said, I used my coupon successfully on a Time Capsule before, and it seems iPods are indeed included.

I just got a 10% coupon via email and the fine print specifically excludes "...Apple iPod; Microsoft Zune MP3 Players; [and] Apple Computing Accessories..."

I called my local Best Buy and tried to argue the fact and she still said the iPad wouldn't be able to be purchased with this 10% off...

Sucks, especially since I used to work at that store only a few months ago

I'd go in and try it anyway. When I went to pay for it, I'd just hand them the coupon without saying anything and see if the system takes it.

Weird. The ones that came in the mail specifically INCLUDES Apple iPod.

I was thinking the exact same thing... And I'm NOT saying that they won't take them....

BUT....

If you look at it, computers are NOT included in the list... only computer accessories. I'm betting they'll consider the iPad a computer...

But, hey, give it a try! Worse that can happen is they say no, right?

Take both coupons and when they claim you can't use the first one, pull out the second. They're mutually exclusive so they can't logically claim the iPad is exempt from both.

I never though for a sec that it would work on an iPad. As someone mentioned earlier, the iPad is probably considered a computer product, it's even located in that section. I wad just stating that the iPod is included in my coupon.

I got a 12% coupon in the mail this week. It says "Excludes...Apple Computing Accessories"

On the front it says 12% off Home theater, computer accessories, digital imaging, phones & accessories, MP# Players adn Car Electronics (Apple iPod is included here in the description), Appliances and Musical Instruments.

I hope this helps :O)

I tried using the 10% best buy coupon that USPS sends you when you change your address (it specifically says iPods are fine), but the cashier said the system wouldn't take it.

I just found out that the RewardZone program now deletes all your points at the beginning of the year. I think that's an excellent business strategy: encourage XMas shopping by canceling your earned points in January.

They don't delete your reward points... i.e. the credits you get towards discounts are preserved. They DO require you to earn a certain amount of points in a calendar year to maintain or achieve silver status (which I have). They actually include January, btw. This is pretty standard for hotel and airline programs. You keep the points but it's the status that requires a number per calendar year.
